Not to knock the company, but why don't they have a picture of their boot instead of one from a screen shot of MM1? They must have made at least one pair already to take a picture of and/or sell. I realize they wouldn't keep these in stock and they probably only make them on a custom order basis. I would be interseted in a pair but would like to see some photos of their version first. It would be like one of our interceptor builders using the car from the film for his add shot. Has anyone talked to the company yet? ...... v8 ???

Hey Deaths Head,

You can see the pictures of their boots online: click on the photo to the right where you can read "Mad Hero Max All Leather Boots $250" and then click on "next image".

Sorry, but I haven't talked to the company because I already have my own replica boots.

I can't believe you all missed the ebay auction for replica boots, Some company in Thailand has five pair up for auction (yes, you can see a picture). Karol from the costumes page of Peter's site was telling me that he was having a company in Thailand make replica boots but I don't know if these are the same people or associated with those people. I sent him the auction but haven't gotten a reply yet. In my personal opinion, they are very authentic. Anyway, just go to ebay and search "mad max replica boots." It should come up. Sorry, I don't feel like hunting them down for you right now.

Now if any of you buy a pair, you can order one of my very own MFP boot badges and really look the part. Check out my ad in Bartertown, located in the costumes section of Peter's site. There you can find almost everything you'll need to create a very inspiring replica of an MFP uniform for your own personal amusement.

I apologize for taking this time to plug my ad, but I gotta "get the word to the people."

Plus, if any of you are interested in putting together ANY kind of costume, please write me an email, I'd be happy to help. mailto:[email protected]

Well, I guess I just can't hide anything from you guys! Yes - these are the boots that I had this company make. I was going to announce it on the next update, but man, you guys are just too quick!

The boots are based on the boots I found in Sydney. This company will make the boots from scatch, customized for your feet. The website advertises them for $250, but they're $229 on eBay.

Please seriously consider buying these boots! They are exact replicas - nothing else like them. And this company put the time, energy and money to do this for us. Show them that they didn't take this business risk in vain!

Wow. Disappointed in that last post...

Anyway, Karol, how is the overall quality of the boots? Do they discount for bulk orders, maybe on shipping? Will they customize with steel toes? I can ask them, but I like to get the opinion of a third party who has some knowledge already.

Mitch,

I'm afraid I can't testify to the quality of the boots myself. I don't have a pair yet - I can't afford to buy them right now. Maybe you can ask someone else out there who may have bought a pair.

I think they can work with you on a price for a bulk order. And since every pair is made from scratch, I think the steel toes shouldn't be problem.

The only inaccuracy I can see on the boots is the buckles they used. The buckles appear to have a rounded side, as opposed to just plain rectangular buckles. Maybe you could track down a good pair of buckles at a shoe-repair place and send it to them.
