Why in mm2 is...

Post by nomoneynocar »

why is the decoy tanker filled with sand, wouldn't Max

have had a greater chance of outrunning the gang with

an empty tanker? I realise a tank full of sand would

make the truck a better battering ram, but I still think

it would have been better to have an empty trailer as

it would be able to accelerate faster, have a higher top

speed, corner better while still having enough mass to

smash past smaller vehicles. thoughts?

I AGREE COMPLETELY, 'THE DARK ONE' AND I DISCUSSED THIS IN MY "VARIOUS OBSERVATIONS" POST.

ACTUALLY, THE ADDITIONAL WEIGHT OF THE SAND WOULD BE ALMOST NEGLIBLE IN VALUE, AS THE CAB ALONE WOULD OUTWEIGH ANYTHING ELSE I SAW ON THE ROAD IN THAT MOVIE, PLUS YOU ARE HITTING WITH THE FRONT OF THE TRUCK, YOU DONT WANT TO TRY TO CARRY ALL THAT MOMENTUM OF THE SAND THRU THE FIFTH WHEEL WHEN YOU, THE DRIVER, ARE IN BETWEEN.

Max is a smart guy, I'm sure they did it so that he would think that the tanker was full of gas. He would have noticed if it was empty.
