Well most of us have seen this type of hockey mask before. It is a ball hockey goalie mask from the 1980's. It is also featured on the original cover of Friday The 13th Part 5. For some strange reason because it looks nothing like Jason's Jaques Plante type mask from 1950's and 60's ice hockey. Any ways I always thought the one in the movie was a tin or metal type one. It has mesh or bug screen type stuff stuck to the inside around the small vent holes and then mungy wears a bondage posture collar to top it off. Lately I have noticed on the DVD it might be a plastic white one that is really dirty or sooty from fire, What do you guys think it is made of ??????

I think it was originall white plastic but the producers and directors figured it wouldn't be SCARY enough so they panted it silver (like Wez's shoulder plate) to be more intimidating. It wouldn't be hard at all to recreate one but nobody seems to want to do it. (I guess they don't have the figure)

I'd love to have one on my wall, next to my other memoribilia! Where can I get one?

Hey interdicter, if you find one of those masks I'd be happy to paint it and attach all the belts. You might find one on ebay. Find still frame of it and carry it around with you just in case you see one somewhere. I make a bunch of other max stuff and I should have a load of pics and descriptions on the MMFAQ site in the costumes section within the week.

Somebody please help with the original question. Is it a banged up dirty plastic mask or sheet steel? I can't really tell.....

Like I said, I'm pretty sure it was originally white plastic but painted silver to be more intimidating.
