Hey, Peter!

Post by Interdictor »

I was thinking the other night, with the volumes of info you have accumulated here, you could compile a book. (like what you need is MORE work) but seriously, I don't know from copyrights or image ownership, but the amount and the quality of the info you have on this site is unparralled. I would think that with the growing intrest in MM4 in the industry, (not counting us fanatics) A Mad Max Compendium would be a hit. What do you think? Certainly no one else ( Dr. George Miller included) has compiled the breadth of Max facts that you have. Just a thought.Image

A book isn't a bad idea, but it would have to include a variety of things that can't already be found at the web site. There is certainly material around, but negotiating the rights to some of it might be a bit of a nightmare.

I'd still like to see the official people involved to some really good DVDs. The MGM disc was a start, but they didn't include a bunch of things that they could have, mainly due to money. I pointed them to a few things which ultimately didn't get included because it was going to cost them more than they wanted to spend to negotiate the rights. Then again, they didn't even include the archive of publicity photos I've sent them. I've still got no idea why they skipped those, they already had the rights on them, and it would have cost them nothing. At least they put my trailers on I guess!

At least it's a start though, and perhaps Warner Brothers will have a little more interest in doing SE discs for 2 & 3 that surpass what MGM did for the original.

Yes, Peter! Nobody knows more than you on the Mad Max subject. If you ever did get down to penning a book, I'd buy a copy too! (Granted, I'd make a pest of myself for the author's John Hancock on the inside cover.) Image

I must say I was a little disappointed with the additional content on the DVD. There is little or nothing on there that I didn't already know from this website. Image

It's worth every penny just for the original dialog, though...

I think a book detailing all the info on this site is loooong over due.

After many months away i'm glad to be back visiting this great site.

Keep it up Pete.

Well, if I ever do a book I'll be happy to autograph as many copies as people want. But given the trouble I have just keeping the site updated, don't expect a major book project any time soon!
