Furiosa artbooks
Furiosa artbooks
Do you know if there will be artbooks for the Furiosa movie? In 2015 "The Art of Mad Max: Fury Road" and "Inspired Artists" were fine additions to the release of the fourth movie. Thanks!

Re: Furiosa artbooks
As of now there are no Furiosa related books announced. Titan Books and Insight Editions usually handle the Warner Bros. liscensed material. Coincidently no advance notice of the soundtrack release either while most OST's are marketed close to their film origin release so maybe something will drop close to opening day. As a consolation this book will be available in early June...

Mark Sexton didn't have anything positive to say about art books or similar promotional products.
The marketing for this film has been so strange.Haven’t had any discussions about comics with George - who knows if there’s anyone doing an Art of Furiosa - I suspect there’s no-one there in the KMM office who’d be championing anything like that! Not blowing my own trumpet, but honestly a major reason that the Art of FR was half-decent was that I just happened to be in the KMM building at the time that Titan Books were looking for material from the film, and Doug Mitchell’s assistant asked me to check the 20 production images that had been trotted out for all the media releases. When I found out that it was for the Art of book, I went and found all the original production art from the last 12 years in a map filing cabinet, and sorted through it all for Titan to look at… No-one else knew where the art was stored, as it’d been so long since we’d done it all! If I hadn’t been there, there would have been just a tiny handful of illustrations in the Art of book. Close call…
Let’s hope there’s been someone there this time who’s equally invested..!

Very interesting. It's unbelievable... We were very very lucky with the art book of Fury Road....AquaCola wrote: ↑Wed Apr 10, 2024 3:45 am Mark Sexton didn't have anything positive to say about art books or similar promotional products.

Re: Furiosa artbooks
I talked to Abbie Bertnstein a while ago, she's the one who made the Art of Mad Max Fury Road.
She's not involved in making a book about Furiosa, nor was she even asked to do it.
The marketing for Furiosa is really weak so far, with 2 trailers and some lukeworm promos. Although ATJ said they're going on a promotional tour for the whole month of May, It's literally just 3 weeks of promo before the film's release.
