I stumbled upon this piece of Fury Road concept art by Brendan McCarthy on Ebay.

It shows a character called the “The Piano Man” and he is described as a bounty hunter, similar to Boba Fett.
I wonder was he hired by Immortan Joe in an early version of Fury Road to find Furiosa and the wives? Does anyone have any information about this character?

Concept Art - The Piano Man
Pray hes out there!!
Re: Concept Art - The Piano Man
Brendan McCarthy is an incredibly talented artist. My guess is before the storyboards were started they bounced ideas off one another and Brendan was able to sketch them quickly. There are a lot of ideas that got re-purposed into others.
My guess is this guy's story led to the Bullet Famer chasing after Furiosa.
I believe there was also art for trackers sent out to find Furiosa. Maybe he original idea was for the Immortan to send out mercenaries first followed by his armada.

It makes sense that early sketches and ideas would evolve into the characters we know and love in Fury Road.
I think Piano Man has a Ned Kelly vibe going on in his design.
Also the dolls head and two toy like figures on his helmet did carry over into the design for Rictus Erectus. I cant recall what Rictus’ fascination for wearing the dolls was, but there was a reason behind it.

I agree this does look very proto-Bullet Farmer but also the design of the Bullet Farmer was one that stayed virtually unchanged ever since its inception. So it was probably yet another character idea that got lost in the process.
This art about 'trackers' you mentioned, the earliest Fury Road outline mentions that Max was selected by Nux to be his tracker on Fury Road. Not sure what that was supposed to mean.
