I don't think the original was ever up for Auction. I know Dezer has said they were "selling" it but they won't return calls or emails from serious buyers who are prepared for the presumably multi 7 figure price tag. So its pretty universally agreed they are just using it as a promotional tool. With no intention fo actually selling.

It was the ORIGINAL Interceptor. Was in Cars of the Stars in England. And the was bought by the Peterson Museum ( I think) in USA. But things have been changed on it since it last appeared in MM2.

I saw it in February at the new Dezer Collection in Orlando. I liked it better when it was in Miami. The "Museum" wasn't complete yet when we visited and the displays are poorly done. He took over a shopping mall and just crammed cars into whatever spaces would fit.

I heard the "official" grand opening is in June sometime... the opening in January (first time i went was January 15th) was a "soft" opening.

Nope. Dezer. See above. Never went to Peterson. The Fury Road one along with a couple FR cars were in the Peterson on loan if I recall correctly.

I don't think it has the matt black on rear quaters ? And blower sits higher than what it did in MM 1 & 2 ? Monza headlight covers painted black as well ? Would like it to come back home to Aust. And have Peter from MFP Garage take it back to how it was in MM2.

When it was restored in Aus, it was "restored" to somewhere between the two movie cars. Paint is all gloss black, no matt. Headlight covers are correct, although may not be original. The scoop, blower front cover and the blower drive sprocket are non-original replacements. The new blower drive sprocket appears to be smaller than the original, which would make the engine look like its mounted higher.

I have a bunch of pics that someone took of it in its current Orlando location.
