Bubba hand gun
Does anyone know the model of Bubbas handgun in scene at Seaford Peir ? Dont have the style do ya chickenshit ? I think it's a Mauser.
Re: Bubba hand gun
Yep, its a Mauser. We've speculated over on the Mad Max In Character podcast that:
Its the same one Max threatens the Collector with at the start of "Beyond Thunderdome", as its entirely possible that he picked it up from Bubba's body before getting back in the Interceptor.
And maybe it appears again but in "Fury Road" in the hands of the People Eater. Bit of a stretch this but, in the comics, Gas Town has a new Thunderdome arena, complete with Dr Dealgood. So, what if Gas Town was built over Bartertown? The mauser that was left in the weapon storage room could be found and given to the People Eater

Re: Bubba hand gun
I wouldn't be surprised if the Mauser in Fury Road was a nod to Zinetti's gun. There's a lot of hidden things like that in FR.
For example, the flare gun Furiosa uses to shoot the Rock Rider is the exact same flare gun that T.E. Lawrence used in Lawrence of Arabia.
And Lawrence of Arabia was a huge inspiration for the Mad Max series, at least visually.

It's a C-96 Mauser, probably the first successful (not the first ever though) semi auto pistol. Another was used in MM3 and the People Eater had one in Fury Road.
I find it unlikely Max had Bubba's all along since everything was destroyed in the explosion after he crashed the interceptor, save his clothes boots and shotgun. Although he could have always found the same pistol on someone else years later in theory.
