I brought over Vigilante 8 for the PSX to my friends house. We were blastin away and his dad walks by.
"Man! This is like Road Warriors!"
"What?" i said.
"With Mel Gibson...you know"
"Umm... nope."
Anyway they went on to tell me about it so i went and bought mad max. then road warrior...etc.

I knew who Mad Max was ever since i was about 7 or 8 years old when thundedome was on tv. and i saw road warrior on fox about a year later. When i was about 12 tnt or tbs showed all three of them in a span of a couple months and i remebered to tape them. i watched all of them about 50 times each and then i went out and bought the real tapes.

In '79 or '80, I heard many of my friends talking about what they called "an awsome movie" called "Mad Max". From their description, it sounded sort of gory and I wasn't interested at the time. Fast forward to 1982, I go with a group of friends in college to see MM2/Road Warrior. Naturally, I was totally hooked and went to see Mad Max as soon as I could find it showing somewhere. The series has become my favorite of all time. Since then, I've created a "Max" outfit which I have worn at many occaisions as well as an attempt at an interceptor replica (1973 Capri / 351C). The outfit was unfortunatly destroyed several years ago in a fire and the car sold as well. Currently I'm getting together funding for a new outfit and a real Falcon interceptor replica which I plan to start in 2001.
Needless to say, my friends have called me "Mad Max" for years.
Best Regards,
Evan

Hi Doug,
I have a few in process shots where the car is totally stripped to the body shell and even some video of a ride in the car. I also have a couple shots of the car (and me hamming it up) when I sold it. Many of the great detail shots were destroyed in the fire that got my MM outfit and about $3500 in sound gear. The car, happily, was outside and not in the garage under the house.
