Can anyone explain why 'Mad Max Fury Road' was so highly pra

When I saw the movie, I considered it was a pretty good film and very entertaining, but nothing more than that. However, dozens of critics have said it's the best film of 2015, it's the greatest action film of all time, etc; but I don't see it. Yeah it's a good film, but I've seen other movies that I enjoyed more in this year than Mad Max 4.
Yeah I understand that they put a ton of work into the cinematography and a lot of the stunts were performed by actual stuntmen in dangerous situations, but the movie itself, I didn't feel was amazing and one of the greatest films of all time; partly because the car chase started at the beginning of the film and it seemed to encompass the whole movie. The movie felt too grandiose and over the top, with Immortan Joe looking like a twisted, warped version of the Humungus from Mad Max 2; and his vehicle entourage having a giant vehicle with amplifiers dedicated only to have some guy with a flamethrower guitar not play any actual music.123movies
I'm not saying the movie sucked, it didn't, but I just don't really understand why it got so much praise.
