DDA's 1/18 yellow Interceptor tyres

Post by Wozza »

Hi all, a friend of my wanted me to weather up his 1/18 yellow Interceptor as in the movie with the mud down the the side of the car, which is fine but looking at the model I notice it has Radial TA's on the car
That's not right... They look like they were National XT Renegades. So armed with a flat bed printer at work I printed on the back side of the tyres. I'll go and count some rivets now...

Kool!
I never even bothered with putting the tirewall text on mine.
Are you going to release the mesh so others can print them out? I usually add my stuff to thingiverse.
(nothing mad max related yet)

To be honest I just opened that first image of the tyre in Photoshop and copied just the text off and then sized it to fit the tyre then printed directly to the back side of them using a flat bed printer like this one in the photo.
So unfortunately there is no mesh as such just a 2D image as you can see its not too sharp but because of the end size of it and most of the print would be weathered off I was not to worried about it,
and also thanks to Wayne who helped identify to tyre to begin with.
