Me too! Somebody in a car forum I belong to was complaining about the overspray in the door jambs, but I think that's absurd. Were this a real police car, it would have overspray. It's not like police cars were ever designed to be show cars.

ummm what???
I cant believe that a fan wouldnt know this? or notice?
Given that 99% of replicas have overspray to be correct to the film

The real movie car was an ex police car in white. The door jams in the movie car, engine bay etc were left white.
Overspray from the blue, red and yellow were all present on the real car.
All of this is visible in the film.

Hence all the replicas built had white door jams and overspray from the blue, red and yellow on door jams etc...
(none of this is new and been covered a million times in past posts over the decades)

Car was built by Gordon Hayes in WA many yrs ago and yes was shown on here when it was built.
We are 100% snafu....

Keep in mind, that comment was made in a car forum, and not a Mad Max forum. The person who made the comment was probably a casual Mad Max fan, but not an expert like the folks here.
