Finally I decided to make a video about the timeline and chronology of Mad Max movies.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv5ZGi_Pn5M
(also please subscribe for more upcoming Mad Max videos on that channel)
Part 1 starts off with the original trilogy. I used only the information provided in the movies, official interviews and production documents (no fanfiction, novelization and non-canonical sources).
In part 2 I'll discuss the timeline connection between Fury Road and the original trilogy.
Excuse my funny accent, English isn't my native language.
Here's the link to vimeo version

Let me know what you think, thanks!

Re: The Timeline of Mad Max movies (Part 1)
This is brilliant and just totally made my morning. I learnt a done, even after checking this forum daily for so many years.
Can I just say Taipan, your editing and VO work is first class. This feels like something I'd watch on the BBC. You should be so proud of your research and execution. We're very lucky to have fans like yourself.
I vote that this thread is made a sticky.

Re: The Timeline of Mad Max movies (Part 1)
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it!
I started that YT channel solely for the purpose of delivering some interesting Mad Max information, mostly because there's so much speculation out there. People claiming that those movies are totally separate is what irked me the most so hopefully now everyone will realize that the world building in those movies and the chronology are real. Explaining the relation of Fury Road and the original trilogy will be a little bit tricky because of how Fury Road basically morphed into a soft reboot but it should put an end to speculation too.
Other than that, there's a lot of things I'd like to talk about in such videos, the long history of Mad Max video games for example, character backstories, vehicle profiles etc, there's a lot of things to talk about for sure.
So again, thanks for watching and I'm glad you liked it I really appreciate it and It motivates me to do more videos!

Thanks! As to why: It's years of being a fan of Mad Max movies and getting tired of people running around like headless chickens trying to figure out the timeline of those movies. Least I can do is piece together what's out there to bring some clarity.denial090 wrote:How did you have this brilliant idea? I really love your video.
