While not a true movie car or from down under, it's got the look and the speed.

And would fit right in in the wastelands.

Can anyone guess what this is ?

1978 Plymouth roadrunner 577 produced that year

Built and stacked 318 with to many mods to list. and more always coming.
Have other V8's but the RR is the fastest and coolest with a 4 speed on the floor Tee tops Ya need tee tops for the easy transfer of wasteland warriors during high speed chases right? and every last option accept AC mopar had to offer that year.

Who ever ordered it new what they wanted and was thinking of me down the road.

And well a Eaton M90 if I ever put it on. Holding off as I want to go bigger on the motor and that means a bigger blower.
Also have a spare hood in case I get a through the hood blower instead of the under the hood model. Not sure yet.
I do know if I put one on it it won
t be a cheap fake but the real deal. Had a B body 1972 demon mopar with a under the hood blower and 318 with a auto and it was SICK

I keep telling the wife I'm gonna paint " WHO RUNS BARTER TOWN" on the rear fin.

Hope you guys enjoy my street legal wasteland ride....

Rich

PS: I own this because I can't find a XB and if I did I probably couldn't afford to do it justice.

nice. Are they rare cars in the US?

Yes the F body mopars are very rare in the us. And looked down upon by the owners of earlier model b and a body owner's.

There were only 577 of the super packs made like mine that year. How many can be left? And they were brochure order only none on the lot to pick from.

That's a real piece of history you got there. It'd be a shame to blow it up!

In that case I wouldn't be touching the paint work, and I'd leave it as is.

No reason not to touch the paint work it's a standard mopar black and the graphics are easy to get.
PhoenixGraphix in AZ is a Licensed MOPAR graphics maker an they are 400.00 for the whole care after shipping like I said Licensed OEM decals.

Besides it's not a surviver car that goes out the window when you start messing with them and someone already did motor work to it before I bought it.

When I'm done with this thing the body will only be along for the ride.

I've just went all bionic on the drive train.
If I do put the Eaton M90 blower on it I'll get about 50 to 75 more HP depending on the PSI it generates. ( pushing around 330 HP now with simple bolt on mods)
That blower will do between 4 and 6 PSI, 6 PSI for that blower on that that 318 small block is max, if I put the 10 groove pulley on it 6 PSI. It will benefit from 4 PSI The way it sits now with the factory 6 groove pulley.

Here is a bit of Trivia on blowers....

Q: does anyone know why they whine? & make that bad azz sound.

Answer to follow... Stay tuned if you don't know.

That and on the long snoot blowers like that Eaton M90 the bearing give it the scream due to the force places on them from tension and the fact that they are hooked to the smallest pulley on the car. Which make for insane RPM's in he blower to generate the PSI for boost.

The bearings shouldn't be screaming unless they're on the way out, the whine is caused by the chubby 'ol gilmer belt mating up to the pulley wheels at high speed

Adding more tension to the belt makes it whine.

Hence why you can hear the whine on the fake blower set ups of replicas
