Raglan-cut tee?

Post by Jacka »

Hi guys,

I'm putting together an extremely cheap (<$40) MM2 Max costume for my school's Year 12 'Celebration Day'. Today my mum recalled me talking about "light blue shirts" (being the Bonds Raglan tee from the first film). Anyway, she ducked past an op-shop this afternoon and bought a shirt. Upon showing me I found it bears a great deal of resemblance to the proper Bonds shirt in terms of seams, although the colour is a somewhat lighter 'blue'. Here are some pictures of said shirt. Is there the possibility that this is a Bonds shirt with a more recent tag on it?

Yeah, I have my doubts based on the tag, but the cut is very similar so I was still not totally sure seeing as the seams appear accurate.

I have an original and everything matches on your t shirt including the stitching except the tag, its a mystery. The ICE blue colour was used for over twenty years and the tags changed a little a few times over that period. I would say that you have an original Bonds ice blue raglan style t shirt. Sweet.

NOW....

Max didn't wear one of these in MM2 so PLEASE don't cut up the raglan. I could use a spare so let me know if you want to sell it.

Thanks mate. If I decide to sell it you'll be first in line. Suppose sometimes it pays to be an Australian with this stuff.

Looks like the originals I have seen and owned, except I remember them all being 100% cotton.
