Hey! Welcome to the forum!
Looking good so far, I reckon the rag-tyre is going to be a bit of a challenge. I got you some pics from Top Gear magazine that show some detail of the car, might come in handy:

Great work, glad you fixed that top spoiler too! I always hated that on this kit....

Thanks for your comcent Wozza! The spoiler required a lot of careful filing to get rid of that extra plastic. I then had to use model filler to fill in that big gap after the filing.Wozza wrote:Great work, glad you fixed that top spoiler too! I always hated that on this kit....

That looks great. That roof spoiler sure s a bitch, I wouldn't mind if it be solid but they just had to make it hollow too

Re: Fury Road V8 Interceptor
And that is the best way to go about fixing that roof spoiler up i think. Pre fill it with a putty and then cut away the back of it afterwards. I did that with the one i started and it worked out pretty good.
AL you're FR Interceptor is looking great there. Everything from the smashed cover on the front to the collection of stuff in the back looks the part. Nice work!

This is killer, man!
I'm building Razor cola and the Fury Road BoB, using the Cavalier kit.
The tyres on them are rubber, so it makes the rag tyre thing easier.
I did exactly like the movie and sewed wire through the rubber criss crossing the rags to the tyre.
Very tedious work, but looks great.
Loving that the Fury Road Bob is not getting ignored since Part 2's still gets most the attention.

BTW, notice the spot where the boot spoiler used to be, nice little detail, made to tie the movie in with the game, at least that was the plan.

Those boot spoilers are pricks to cut and file off the Cavalier.
Too deep and you'll make it uneven and stuck trying to file the whole area down to match.
Not enough and critics like us fans will spot it
