Hello Max fans,
Thunderdome turned 30 years old earlier this month. Not everyone's franchise favorite, it's not my favorite either for that matter, but it's the first Max flick I saw and I'll always hold it in a special regard. In recognition, or at least as an excuse to watch the movie again, I present the Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome drinking game.
There are quite a few recurring themes/callbacks in Thunderdome. I don't know drinking game rules so here's the list and you can drink accordingly, bust your friends when they miss something, etc. Anyone who makes it through this with at least half a brain left I have a used Interceptor for you. (slight fire damage)
Start off by taking a drink any time Max winds up stuck in the Nothin'.
Jeb steals his truck
Gulag
Stuck recovering The Tribe Who Left
Goodbye, soldier
Drink when someone says s***, bulls***, pigs***, blood and s***, or Savannah drops the f-bomb
Character swings into shot via rope, snare, or zipline
Aunties Thunderdome chair
Max falls out of treehouse
Slake enters
Scrooloose in underworld
Barndoor wipe/transition:
Lift Embargo
After Pigkiller "The dice, are rollin"
How do you get into Thunderdome? "That's easy. pick a fight"
Bust a deal, face the wheel
After Gulag chant
Bartertown has a power outage "You fix"
After Max punches out Savannah
Group pan, one 'shot' after punchy
After "Bartertown, it's our only chance"
After "For those that took him, no mercy"
Cut to the plane flying into the dust storm
Whenever someone spits into their hand
Collector and the pelt guy
Pigkiller, himself
Auntie and Max deal
... and Max spits at his car
Ironbar dies or "dies":
Flung from Aunties house
knocked out by chute
Drowns in poo pool
Hit by rail truck
Falls from rail truck into ravine
Runs into Max's truck
Dies in wreck (or ..?)
Whenever Bartertown shuts off
Who run Bartertown
Electrical fire
Rail truck leaves Underworld
Skyfish smashes something or cuts /w saw:
Cuts Max's foot snare
Alarm clock
Saws Ironbar's handhold off of rail truck
Max gives up guns:
Leave your weapons here it's the law
Slake's rifle, dropped by the pond and not seen again?
When Blackfinger enters pig pen, Ironbar's gun is lying there and Max doesn't take it
Fun stuff:
When Auntie offers a drink you take a drink. Also drink when Master & crew pour drinks in the street party and when Max has a big drink in the desert.
Two shots enter, no man heaves
During the scene when Auntie jumps into Thunderdome, everyone yell randomly with the crowd and take a drink.
When all the junk is getting thrown from the plane and a kitchen sink is seen for a couple frames.
Whenever Pig Killer tells Max, crowd, or Ironbar to WAIT, or Hold it, or otherwise delay for a bit
One drink "...for Byron"

Short version: drink whenever something silly happens.

Re: Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome Drinking Game
Basically one rule then, keep drinking as long as the movie plays

"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

Apart from where the horse dies. At which point I reserve the right to ugly-drunk-cry with gusto.Nightwalker wrote:Basically one rule then, keep drinking as long as the movie plays![]()

Re: Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome Drinking Game
You could also drink to accompany all scenes of bone crunching violence;
You'd be very sober
You'd be very sober

I would add...
1. Drink every time someone says "Tomorrow-morrow land"
2. Drink every time someone calls Max "Captain Walker"
3. Everyone chug (or upchuck?) when Iron Bar kisses Master on the cheek
"He's in a coma, man. He loves it."
