Why after Morsov kamikazee's onto the Buzzard's with his 2 thundersticks does Slit call him MEDIOCRE, starting everyone else off on calling him it?

Is it because his death was suicide and not a noble battle death or what?

Cause if that is the case then Nux was about to be mediocre as well when he tried committing suicide with his guzzoline and flair.

This is another example of George Millers unique sense of humor. One of the most amazing stunt in the movie is judged as MEDIOCRE !

There´s some kind of competition between the War Boys who is able to sacrifice himself in the most spectacular way possible.
In this society built by Immortan Joe, for him nothing seems good enough whatever you are trying to do .

I take it as being part of Slit's personality (bit of an a***hole). Like in the way he won't acknowledge that Immortan Joe looks at Nux.

And a jealous one at that, he tries to promote himself to a driver the first time we see it, when everyone salutes Morsov he calls his suicide mediocre, gets butthurt when Immortan picks Nux onboard. He's got a big ego, he thinks he deserves better than everyone else and if you think about it - he is kind of right! Whenever Nux tried to hunt down Furiosa he failed, three times! At least Slit managed to puncture the tyres of the War Rig, too bad he was dumb enough to get sandwiched between the rig and the People Eater's rig. Really dumb move, but hey, he died for Immortan Joe so I guess it all worked out for in the end.

I wondered this too.

it's also possible he is calling the Buzzards mediocre, or he is just an ass head.
