Thank You Peter Barton
Thank you, Peter, for connecting Mad Max fans for 20 years with your Web site that has evolved into the hub of the Mad Max online community.
All of your work has helped Mad Max fans keep their passion while they waited 30 years until another Mad Max film appeared on movie screens.
May the Mad Max Movies Web site live for another 20 years and beyond!

I found this site 17 years ago just when it came aboard the newish thing called the internet. LOL I found it by accident at my highschool library surfing the web and finally found cool info about Mad MAx I had just discovered the movie as a teen and fell in love with the Black on Black but being a car nut it just killed me to not have clue about what the hell the car was!!! lol

It's very cool this site didn't just die and fade away like many others would with such a large gap.

Re: Thank You Peter Barton
Just over 10 years ago I found out about the Mad Max movies while browsing movie titles. I came across the name "The road warrior". It had a sound to it that I liked immediately. I love old cars. And after seeing MM2 I was hooked to the post apocalyptic genre. While searching on the net for anything MM related, I found the site madmaxmovies.com. It contained all the info I wanted and became a member of the discussion forum.
Thanks Peter, for this huge amount of information, and give the possibility for all the MM fanatics to be together at one place.

"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

20 years and going strong as ever! This site was a godsend back when I was still in my teens and didn't know anyone would love those movies as much as I do.
I think I discovered this site in an internet cafe in 1998, I didn't even have my own computer back then. When I finally got one I would buy an hour of internet in a cafe, go directly to madmaxmovies.com and download all the information I could fit onto 3.5" floppy disks so I could bring that stuff home. Haha I even remember strategically picking what pictures to save because those floppy disks would fill up fast. Once I had Internet installed at home the first thing I did was registering here and diving into the freaking sea of info about Mad Max. People making props, replicas, Wasteland Weekend, production photos, stories from the set, movie analysis and tons of other interesting stuff. Thank you, Peter. And cheers, to another 20 years!

Re: Thank You Peter Barton
I joined this site in 2000.
Back to that time, I believed everyone in the world loved Thunderdome just like we Italians do.
It was the beginning of the Internet era here in Italy.
I absolutely loved this site from the start, despite its simple design and template.
Peter Barton is just a top notch, first class act. He's just the one who brought us here. Like Savannah Nix
Peter Barton, we love you.
Too bad you're not on Facebook.

Taipan,
I understand how you feel. I still have printouts of Mad Max Movies FAQ and Alex Maddison's Mad Max Chronology on dot matrix paper from 1996.
Very cool you became a moderator of this site. Your username is a blast.
