Hey, this is my first post, but have been on here from time to time. I have a 1967 f 100 long bed that i converted to a short bed. I got the pickup for free back in 2009 sitting in a neighbors field. Ever since then i have always wanted to make it into the snake truck. Seen in the pictures is the progress i have made. Now i am working on building the windshield. I am open to any ideas or comments.

Its even the right base colour!
If you can protect the welding with paint and leave the rest as is... though i dunno how you mix and match faded red oxide???

Nice to see someone take this on. at least you've got a truck fairly close to the one in the movie. so that's a good start.

you can get a red-oxide primer. a bit of sanding and dust might help it match up.

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. Here is a update. I have the windshield frame installed. Needs a little more work to be completely done. If i had to redo it i would use one inch angle iron instead of inch and half that i used. But its good enough for me. As far as painting goes i was thinking of painting the whole pickup. But it would look cool with what paint is on it now. I will have to do some thinking on that one.
