This is my red Falcon XA that gets cleaned up by the mack truck in the final chase of Mad Max 2. It was made from a 'body only' seconds of the diecast "XB Interceptors" from Models56 (no chassis, wheels or engine). I cut out the fender arches from the body, which was harder than it looks as it's not curved on the inside, making it a 1/4 inch thick at the mid-point. from there i built up a chassis, starting with a flat plate from the quick-build chezoom kit, cutting it until it fit. i made all the suspension bits from styrene tube and got some wheels from my spares, they came off a 1/38 scaled Kenworth. I made a new rear bumper from diamond plate styrene. The big exhaust stacks were built from 1/8 styrene rod and the rear wing is sheet styrene. It was painted in two tones, black and primer red. i then painted the 'bat' on the hood by hand.
This is absolutely incredible, dude!
Been planning a Red XA Model kit myself for years, by using one of my spare cavalier Interceptor kits, but kits like yours are too intimidating and put me off
