Video games do not make good movies. Especially when the game lacks enough story to support a 2 hour movie. So much money spent making an un-engaging, mediocre movie. Paul did the best acting he could with no material, unfortunately, acting only gave the movie a split personality.

I've yet to see it, but if there's anything to learn from video game based movies is that they consistently suck all across the board.
I'm honestly baffled why Paul accepted that role, it's a career killing move. Especially after being one of the mains in Breaking Bad.

He may have gotten the offer to attach as lead quite some time ago. And it may have looked like a very different movie when he signed on.

Just watched it, its not bad,they used real cars for everything, no CGI,
Except for a few places for fake fire, checkout
The bonus features, they talk about wanting
It to look old school.
