Yet another car question from a guy who knows nothing about cars.

Post by Kenshiro »

Hi.

Recently someone posted a link featuring a 787 HP 1970 Dodge Challenger.

My question is this. How the hell did they soup that thing up so that it would

have that much hp? I looked at the page, but I wasn't familiar witb the specifics

given regarding the engine description. Could perhaps someone explain to me

what makes this car such a monster? I didn't see anything about a

super charger. I'd post the info here, but I don't know how, so I'll just leave the same link he gave, and you can check it out.

It may not be a certain famous black xb Falcon, but I wouldn't mind having it.Thanks for any info.

If this is true, that is a lot of HPper cubic inch , about 1.5 .

Not impossible:

It is a Hemi engine (means the combustion chamber is dome shaped and the spark is in the middle) very efficient.

.

MoparHemi motors are used in drag racing make over 3000 HP (VERY RADICAL THOUGH)

I'm sure it has excellent heads (not headers) that flow really well.

It is also very likely that this motor makes this power WAY up the rev band 6-7000 rpm maybe higher.

It may be a BEAR on the street and have trouble idling smoothly.

My 2/100.

Kinda like that sound the interceptor makes when Max is pulling up to the wreck at the end of the movie and finds the stoner guy. What's his name?

Talk about hard idle.
