Motorcycle Fairings Availabilty

Post by wm6929 »

I was trying to locate fiberglass fairings for a project. I have emailed two companies and received no response.

What is the availabilty for Goose Fairings, what companies still offer them?

Has anybody purchased it lately? Any builds recently use it?

I know they sold a ton of them in the time since they acquired the old Toecutterz company and remade the molds. There is several photos on the product page, or go to www.toecutterz.com to see a bit more info.

Yeah, I saw the site and the pictures. But from what I have found, those photos are the only current photos available. And from what i see in those photos, the fairings dont look all that accurate to the movie. Namely the headlight area.
I was hoping that they were photos of a prototype or first gen. reproductions.

What about the fairing from Replico? Does anybody have a current photo of what they offer?

What about Whitehouse.jp? Are they still making complete bikes? I know they will not sell just the fairings.

I think Replico has either changed hands multiple times over the last decade and/or gone out of business completely. In any case report is that they no longer even have the 3rd gen "Hurricane" style faring mold.

Whitehouse never made the 100% full size faring, from what I discovered. I know there has been at least 1 replica build well documented using theirs on a KZ1000 and he had to make some extensive modifications. I actually had a Japanese speaking friend translate a call with them many years ago for me, and they indicated they were using a newer, different, slightly smaller Kawaka as the base bike for their goose builds (faring sized accordingly).

I have not yet heard of any complaints from builders using the Toecutterz faring kit, regarding the accuracy or otherwise. As I always recommend to folks, ask some people who have one..... in this case there should be plenty to choose from.
