Mad Max 1:
1)Underground Garage scene, what the hell was that "car" partially covered by a sheet? Looked like a land speed record car. Just something to look "fast" for the background? Realisitcally (yes it is only a movie)that wouldn't seem very practical for police duties, eh?
2)Did anybody catch the "organ harvesting" subtext?
g. Miller was a Dr. after all. Bubba Z--"must of cut his heart out, huh?"; ]Dr. administering to Jessie "she salvageable"
3) At the train station ,after his Nightrider diatribe, Toecutter flicks his eyes over to the old guy and says "bubba, Johnny," make a blowing out a candle gesture. Next scene two bikers are walking off with the old guy. What did I miss? Seemed like a order to kill, but the old guy reappears. Maybe the eye flick just meant nothing, and TC just meant get out of here. Any thoughts?
4) Check out the apparent different tires the Black Interceptor uses. First the scene where the car slowly pulls out to begin pursuing the bikers, and then the post "knee-shot" burn-out. Tires appear wide. Then check out the spin-turn/burnout at Kirks Bridge. Tires looks much narrower--likely changed to make manuevers easier. Similar to the skinnies on the pursuit special in the opening crash scene. PS, think the "rocket" might have been a pyro-charge for the final explosion.
5)When Max passes the tanker on the uphill, what was his problem? Was he running low on fuel? I think a VW beetle could have passed quicker.

1) Did anybody else think that in the start max was abusing the interceptor by "reverse braking" (slowing down the car by slamming it in reverse)? I did. Until, upon closer inspection, you can actually see it severe axle "hop" caused by braking on uneven surface.
2) Did anybody else think the "refinery people" were jerks? They stuck him with a tanker full of sand and he didn't know it. Pappagallo made that choice for himself (pretty noble) but he didn;t have the right to make that for Max. In fact, everybody would have had to be "in" on the deception, it was a pretty small camp. Anyway, they could have ran the tanker empty and given them a LOT better chance.

About the tyres, I haven't watched the movie in a while, so I'm not really sure, but for the guys in the refinery. Even if they were good guys, they can still do what they can to save their lives, even if they are the good guys. I think it makes the story more interesting and makes for a good ending like you said.

Also in the garage scene theres the Monaro that the Knightrider uses...look closely at the first car in the foreground covered with some clear plastic and also sporting the same type of red and blue police lights as max's yellow XB.
