Don't replace your keyboard. Unfortunately I've only got a couple more pics up my sleeve.

The post wasn't even mentioned in the PROPS & SPEC. REQS on the call sheets for the 2 days at Seaford beach/pier:PursuitSpecial wrote:Thanks Dale! Priceless!
I wonder what happened to the post on the beach. Probably just a prop and got removed and tossed away after they were done shooting for the day.
(Someone may build a replica post one day.?)

Thanks TroyMax_Van wrote:Fantastic pictures yet again. I guess i speak for all of us in saying that you make us feel more in touch with the essence of the movie filming by providing these original pictures.
Thanks mate,

Mad Max is certainly alive and well thanks to guys like you and others here on the forum.
See you soon (hopefully between 4th and 11th Feb?).

There was (and looks like still is by the pics below) a “ramp" leading to the pier, so there was no need to ride through the sand.PursuitSpecial wrote:How was it riding those bikes through the sand on the beach to get to the pier???
(But you remind me of when I rode through the sand at Glenelg beach in SA many years ago. It’s not too easy with a heavy road bike, and my bike started to “quicksand” when I got too close to the water. With help I pulled my bike out in time. Was a scary moment).
A recent photo showing the entrance to Seaford pier (the beach scene location was to the right of this photo ... it was a hot 2 days, so we were shading under the pier a lot of the time):

Another recent photo of a similar view as in Mad Max (the beach scene was to the left of this photo):
