A buddy in High School drove a Warlock, similar to the Lil' Red Express package. For a truck it was quite a blast to drive (chick magnet). Hardly more than decals and rims actually. I kinda miss those "package" options from the late 70s.

I guess that means I can make the Calypso Green coupe into the Bat XA and get the color matched off of the sedan. So does that mean Biante is no longer making the Falcons?

I also found a rare treasure on Friday at the local hobby shop...a 1:18 black and gold 1978 Dodge Warlock pick-up. "So what" you say...look past the nasty gold plating and there is a set of "Wagonwheels/Nomads/Sunraysias." The box was torn, battered, smashed, but the wheels were fine and excellent for any Falcon or BoB project. Look familiar DRAKNOIR?

Quite right about those Warlock wheels. I'm using them on my 73 ertl Mach 1 conversion. They look just right with the gold off and the black on. This will have to do until the Autoart 1/18 comes out (if ever!)

OFF TOPIC: The Warlock and Lil Red Express were designed together at the same time at Chrysler. My buddy (he's at least 60(?)) here at work did the scroll logo around the LRE lettering. There was a competition between the two "Stylists" and it won. He said that it was a fun project and that it was a response to the Shaggin Wagon craze, waning muscle car wars and something to put in the Autoshow (like the Arcadipane XB Concorde). The LRE became the more popular of the two and ended up selling more. There's one just down the street from Doug in Canada. He says the guy treats it like a truck every day and uses it, instead of just letting it see the sun on Sundays.

WAYNE: Have you dealt with these guys before at the hobby shop in OZ? I'm considering ordering the cars, but haven't used them before. Lemme know...

Well, here's my first attempt at casting a 1:18 blower assembly in metal. The trickiest parts were the little pullies.

Still have the injector and hat to figure out.

OK...here's how it is. WAYNE got me to buy the Superbird, and now DRAKNOIR is getting me to buy ANOTHER Tango XB...making three, plus the Apollo Blue one already on the shelf..."baaastards!" Hahaha! That means I'll have a stock Tango, stock Apollo Blue, a replica of my car, and a BoB. Don't you guys know I need the money for the 1:1 scale project?! Quit showing me these things...weak will-power...you know???

Now are you going to make a "correct" Farm Road casting? The one where the pulley is on backwards and only has the number 1 and 3 position nuts, and the swing arm is missing? I'm impressed by the metal casting...I've always have just used resin for simple parts. Well done.

One other project I want to do is a 1:24 Aoshima BoB kit modified into a "RECOVERY" ute...need more time...

Sorry Bronze. I know how expensive these addictions can get.

Thanks. I don't think I'm going to be able to get as accurate as you would be, as far as my model goes. I'm having a difficult time just scaring up parts, and I don't have the detailed knowledge of every bit and piece of the real car that you and many others here posess. I'm just going for the closest look I can achieve with what's available, within my skill level. I do expect to beat the level of detail of my other two 1:24 models, though.

I haven't decided whether I'm going to include the idler pulley arm assembly, or just go with the straight pulley [they are not attached to the blower housing]. I can choose either/or. I'll either turn the assembly so it points straight down, or just go with the single pulley shown next to the blower.

This is a complilation picture (and there's another on out there that's just the car) but shows the pulley backwards, the two screws only, the swing-arm missing off of the front of the spindle plate, and the left-side twist-lock pin undone.
