Hi all

Just got my wheels at the weekend, and I am hoping someone out there can help me decide what size of tyre they need. The wheels are 15 x 8's.

I saw the Big Bopper replica that was on ebay mentioned it had the original XT Renegade tyres on it, but no sizes. It also said they dont make them anymore too, anyone know of any going about??

Hi 2050,

I guess it depends on the offset of the rims. I have 14' on mine so I guess I am not much help to you. I just took it to the local tyre/tire store and told them to put the widest ones on that wouldn't scrub. They tried 3 sizes and now the rears don't touch (unless a rear air shock line gets melted like on the way to Dearborn - thanks Bill).

Looking back over the thread and thought I would bring you up to date on a few things. We air freighted an XC Cobra to London a few weeks back and I have asked the new owners if they were interested in getting together with all you guys but I am not sure if it will happen as they are "not really car people"!!!

Have you guys seen the pics of Bill's and my Bopper together? 2050 and Adrian that is what you guys will look like - it causes a bit of a stir!

Stir is an understatement!!!!!!!!!

When I drove Bill's Interceptor, Phil was in the Yellow, and Evan was in the Red XB, we all went to several impromptu car shows. Stir? It was more like an earthquake, lol

Thanks for the advice! I'll give it a shot. I've dumped my air shocks as they were knackered, gas ones now, so i'll not have to worry about that little problem!

Sandy emailed me a picture od the Cobra as it was coming out of the plane a few days after it arrived, and to my shock i'd been staying the night at the very same airport the very same time. So near yet so far to seeing her

I'm sure our paths will cross again at some point.

Yeh, ive seen the pictures of yours and Bills, and I cant wait to reproduce them over here with Adrian. As Ankle says, we'll cause more than stir!!!

Yeh were gonna have a blast! It was great when i followed Adrian down to the show at Billing in the summer in my daily car, just watching some of the cars as they passed going down the motorway was priceless!
