There's nothing like seeing a post from Biolumen with photos! Keep them coming.
I thought I read somewhere, there are 2 duplicates of some vehicles but only 1 will appear in the film, the second is spare incase the first one breaks down / is written off / etc ?
I get the feeling most of the car chases are going to be on open desert plains.
If the cars can survive then surely some roads will too?

Onto the pics:
No fuel, no 'pure breeds' but it looks like there's no shortage of ammo for those car mounted chainguns!
.
The gun on the hotrod is clearly homemade and certainly isnt a chain gun.
What appears to be a rusty feed bucket on top suggests perhaps they feed something like ball bearings into it?

The gun on the car is more like a gatling style gun / mini gun / or multi barrel shotgun , but it doesn't look air or fuel fed like a couple of other guns type things I've been noticing , some even look like they are remote and don't have an operator
Its harder to make a ball bearing than a bullet , I reckon ball bearings in any consistant quantity would be harder to source , me thinks real guns and hopefully not pew pew lazors
By the looks of the costuming I'm going with nuclear radiated mutants
Thanks again Bio , the search engine wizard

Very nice pictures
That excavator always reminds me of 'the cars that ate Paris'

I noticed also that the excavator has fewer spikes than we have seen in previous pictures. I would summarize that this is an older picture that has now surfaced. That would indicate that some of these have been unpublished for awhile.

Why carry an excavator around in the wasteland?
If its used for digging, what are the owners digging for?
It must play a significant role in the movie.
It looks to be on one of the leaked storyboards.
One site claimed its Furoisa vehicle!
Interesting!

Actually rethinking this one, the excavator arm would make a good weapon during a chase.

It's funny, I never assumed it was actually for digging. I just thought it was a great, odd weapon.

I don't think the excavator detaches from the truck at any stage it just looks like some wacky device that could be used on the run flipping cars , there is another hydraulic arm setup on the front cabin which looks like a big saw blade
It looks like its on the storyboad that features Max holding a twin crossbow , if you look at the props pics you can see a similar weapon lying on the table
I think the spikes are to stop ppls jumping onto the vehicles
OH&S hazard walking or working near these cars , wonder how many ppl nearly lost an eye so far lol
