Mad Max RW is right to ask that question, and it's a question we should be asking ourselves all the time; What am I actually doing to make a difference?
This is something everybody should be doing regardless of their views. It could be as little as donating to causes that support your politics. I could be attending rallies to show your support. It all matters.
Online outrage needs to start converting into action. The calvary isn't coming to take Trump away. You want to see change, start holding all politicians to account, regardless of which party you or they support.

It's a blessing to be among not only a pretend researcher but a pretend psychologist on this forum. Saying how compassionate you are on the internet is worth absolutely nothing. Tell me how enlightened you are. Come on, you know you want to use that word so bad it hurts.mahenoguy wrote:Conspiracy theorist ? for posting a link to a peer reviewed piece on Psychology , by a highly reputable leader in field !? This speaks volumes about your personality fuck wit . Good luck !
And while you are giving me a history lesson , Is removing firearms from the general population the 1st thing that Hitler did ? Really?! I live in a backwater part of the world that is so far removed from your world that my concern isn't that personal , it's more for you guys ! Because that's what us idiotic left wing libertarians do....Give a shit about people that we don't even know . And while your not bothering to read any links I post , don't bother reading that compassion and empathy are considered great markers for measuring mental aptitude either . Being angry isn't making you any safer .
A-fucking-men. Somebody gets it. If Trump is as big a disaster as our last couple presidents I'll be in the front doing what I can to get him out. Right now I'm just laughing at the spoiled uninformed millennials having the biggest tantrum of their lives.MWFV8 wrote:Mad Max RW is right to ask that question, and it's a question we should be asking ourselves all the time; What am I actually doing to make a difference?

just so everyone's seeing this:
im a "pretend researcher" because i dont use young turks; because i look for unbiased information when i do my research.
from a cognitively dissonant plebe that went into a vomiting tirade defending infowars.

Hitler didn't gain control of Germany through force, he used people's own predisposition to be easily swayed through logical fallacies, exploiting their anger and fear.Mad Max RW wrote:Oddly enough, if Trump was so authoritarian and Hitler-esque the first thing he would do is throw out the 2nd Amendment and take everyone's guns away (as Hillary so desperately wanted).
Trump openly attacked the first amendment during his campaign, something which is far more dangerous than guns.

Hmmm... so I need to prove my credentials to comment ? Nice . What do you do for a living ? what did you do about the last two "Disastrous "administrations ( as you put it ) ? Pretty fucking ineffective what ever it was ( or probably wasn't ) . It is a brave stance to claim all facts that don't gel with your own view of the world or how it should be are "Fake "( especially given your skewed version of world history and human nature ). I have been self conceited in my life but that takes the cake . I am not going to post my C.V on here , perhaps it's because I'm Fake , or maybe it's because I am politically active and my focus is where I CAN make difference and arguing with you is pointless . Despite your abhorrent way of discussing contentious issues I still really wish you the best .

Re: American Presidential Candidates
Maybe I should have put a TRIGGER WARNING in my posts. Since 2006 I've been working in administration at a pretty well known private college in Connecticut helping kids find a job and a place to live. We're now at a greater than 80% employment rate, which is better than the soulless state colleges who are closer to 10% screwing these kids for the rest of their natural lives. In addition, every Friday for free I tutor students who are struggling in math just so they can graduate. After tuition, math is really tough for American students these days. For the past several years I've been responsible for getting us to sponsor the largest food bank in New England. According to the genius liberals running Connecticut that isn't good enough. As for political action, I only focus on local politicians and do not care about national bullshit that will never effect me. It's a joke. If things change here then maybe if you're lucky it moves up. There's nothing you or I can do to create direct change on that kind of level. The sooner you realize that and stop fooling yourself the sooner you can start doing some good. Or continue sitting on your fat ass looking for anything on the internet you find offensive or "abhorrent". If I offend you then the problem is in your mirror.mahenoguy wrote:Hmmm... so I need to prove my credentials to comment ? Nice . I always challenge outside libs like you to visit Connecticut. But you never do. Most libs here are learning to keep their big stupid mouths shut. They know it's all going down the toilet and it's their fault. This state is dead because it fully embraced a failed ideology. Now most of them are going to Republican run Texas. The country tried your shit on for size, had a taste of that kind of failure, and was so incredibly disgusted they made Trump the president. Come to Connecticut if you still believe in liberalism. If you love the taste of your own shit.

Do you think schools will improve under Trumps presidency?

Private schools maybe. Being designated as a business means we face way more scrutiny. Remove that and we can thrive again while tuition stops increasing every other semester. It was a definite NO under continued Dem regulations and rules. Public schools and eventually state universities are fucked. The money is drying up and not coming back in my lifetime. At least in CT we've been closing schools at an accelerated rate the last several years. And the way the federal government under Obama took over student loans we're looking at a bubble larger than the housing crisis of 2008. Right now our only paths forward will either delay the inevitable and hopefully make it less painful or just continue as usual then overnight crash it all sending millions of people into a permanent state of poverty. Large schools carry whole communities. Try to imagine New Haven without Yale. We would be the next Detroit.

Ivory Tower is a great documentary on tuition costs, how schools make money, and how valuable qualifications are. It's getting scary and indeed is a bubble. We have a very similar issues in the UK, even more so now we're leaving the EU.

Do private school regulations currently require fees to be raised regularly?
