Dog, do you mean the Capri in the Fan Cars Section? Or is this another car?

madmax 00uk, my dodgy video work doesnt do the beast justice! You should see her for real, AMAZING. I could have stayed at Adrian's all day listening to that V8 ticking over. If mines turns out half as good i'll be happy!

It was a Mk I, an 'L' registration I think. I can remember the title of the article being 'Technicolour Deam Float', but the memory fades after ten years. I can't even remember which engine it had...

I know it wasn't as shiny as the MK III feautured in the Members' Cars section. That really is the duck's guts! I wonder what the base Car was originally . I hope it was a 2.8i, but it was probably a 1.6 Laser automatic...

I found a picture in a book today of a Concept Car based around the MK II Capri, which was shown by Ford in 1977- The 'Modular Aerodynamic'. It had a lot of features that were on the Mk III, but had a really great looking front end, a bit like the 'Monza'. Picture if you will an RS2000 Escort 'droop snoot' fitted to a Capri, with dark covers over the headlights.

If Ford produced the 'Modular Aerodynamic's' front end for public consumption, it would have been a great basis for building an Anglo Interceptor, or a really trick Capri.

I reckon that if there was a police force like the MFP in Britain in Max's world, they would just use the fastest available large saloons at the time, such as the Ford Granada, the GM Senator and the mighty Rover 3500. I know that the Met put a twin turbo conversion on an SD1 3500 and it reached speeds of over 160mph! Image

The Capri Concept sounds good, my dad was well into Capri's when he was younger, so i've inherited a bit of a love for them!

Somehow i cant see Mad Max working with Ford Granada's though, even if one had a blower. Just wouldn't have looked the same

I like Capris as well. Especially the 'free leeta' Image They make me car sick if I sit in the back of them though. My scariest car journey ever was on the Jubilee Way outside Dover in the back of a yellow 2000GT MKI. My best journey ever was in a 1979 Rover 3500 which was an ex-Kent Police car. I love the 3500 so much! But I digress!

I wish that I could post a picture of the 'Modular Aerodynamic' here...

Incidentally, the later Australian Ford Falcons looked a lot like the Mk2 Granny...

I can't see Max in anything but a Falcon of some sort!
