It was about the same with no end credits.biolumen wrote:Question for him...DGSimo wrote:Asked my friend and he said it was a different cut than April's screening. Some changes are noticeable like Max's V.O was a lot clearer this time. I've tried asking if he could talk about anything else so hopefully, given the timezone, I'll hear from him later.
1. Is the runtime longer, shorter or the same?
Little less nudity. Violence seemed the same but how it is now he could see it being PG-13 with no further cuts.2. Has the violence/nudity been toned down? Some in the last audience thought it was borderline R.
He absolutely loved the film in April and loved it last night. No real change in opinion save for tightening up the 2nd and 3rd acts but he still wishes Max had a better coda.3. Aside from the polish, was this new cut better or worse and, without getting too specific, why?
Hard to tell. Mostly deep and gravelly again but it's not the final sound mix.4. Does Hardy speak with a more distinctive Aussie accent, or is it basically the same?
Not really no.5. Any drastic changes from the previous screening (i.e. character(s) written out, whole scenes missing, etc)?
Well, that's the misconception. If they built a great movie, the fans would come to it. Remember in 1979 MM1 was made on a shoestring budget with no CGI and it ranks #3 on all time % return pulling in $100,000,000. Fury Road will be fortunate to make $100,000,000 profit after spending more than that making the film.DGSimo wrote:But It's the average Joe's they need their butts in theaters for this to be a success.
Prometheus sucked....scfc68 wrote:Did anyone like Prometheus? I felt a bit letdown at cinema (although the first hour was really tense and I still thought the whole film dripped with atmosphere) but it worked pretty good on Blu Ray at home..
Wonder if Fury Road will turn out the same and need time ala Thunderdome or multiple home viewings to really cement?
