I'm 33. First saw MM1 in 1987. Unfortunately I was tanked at the time.

And I take the bus. You never hear Max yell "I'll drive that bus!"

I'm 25 and I first saw 'Mad Max 2' when I was 16, at high school of all places! A student English teacher brought in the video one afternoon, and I think I was the only one of a class of 30 who was absolutely enthralled.

I watched the original 'Mad Max' on BBC TV a few months later, which is one of the best films I have ever seen. Got to love those cars! I later watched 'Beyond Thunderdome' but found it to be too 'Hollywood' and less exciting than the first two films. I like the 'raw' feel and the music scores of the first two.

I own a very un Max-like Volvo 240GL and a Rover 200Image

I got everyone beat. Saw MM in Pittsburgh

at a drive-in(remember drive-ins) when

I was 14 and it was playing on HBO at the same time!

Probably saw it 10 times when it first came out.

2 favorite cars -my 73 Mustang that will soon be

a combo Interceptor/Landau and my 85 Supra.

I know it burns rice but a properly done Supra will

Smoke anything out there!

First: I have had to change my ID to this board as this message board stopped recognizing the intercptbuilder ID:

Gosh I am a whooping 46, I hope that I grow up soon!

Sorry "Kwaka 9".... I am now the oldest bastard on the message-board.. DAM!!

When I started building my first Interceptor replica I was 25.

I first saw Mad Max just after it was released in 1979. So I was 22.

I first saw the Interceptor in perhaps 1978, before the film came out, so I was hooked on all this, and the car before the film was released.

Sort of a pre-film fan.

So from 1978 till 2003, 25 years.... ugggghhhh!!! more than half my life-time.

I work for International Pharmacutical company called Pharmacia, I am at the Perth manufacturing site. Pharmacia (world number 6) have just be brought out by the world number one pharmacutical company called Phizer. So jobwise anthing can happen here now.

In Perth I write the production documentation for the purpose of instruction and record keeping of the manufactured batches.

Record keeping is Paramount in this industry.

I also work a lot after work and on weekends building special cars.

And to the guy who wants a R/T Challenger check out:

Page 7 at http://www.lastinterceptor.info/influences.html

And to the guy with the supra: Ha Ha Ha .... I will wave as I pass, I will be the one in the familiar black car spitting fuel and fire out the side pipes onto the side panels of the Supra.

Regards

Gordon

Gordon Hayes: Pill counter by day, Interceptor driver and builder extraordinaire by night...

Does Viagra have caffeine in it? 'Cause sometimes it keeps me up at night. Yay for Dog's dad!

Just kidding, I have yet to sample the little blue pill.

Anarchie, post pics of your '73 Mustang. I wanna compare to mine...

Gordon! I LOVE your website!Image

We were always being asked by our mates when the wonderpill first came out, if we could get some for them. Dad only made the stuff, and was unable to buy it directly from the company (Prescription only-Not that he needed it!!!).

I fancy that Viagra would be as 'hard' a fought for commodity in Max's reality as gasoline and Diesel...

The consequences of pinching the pill, attempting to, were very heavyImage Someone tried to break into the factory to steal some and got five years! CRIME DOES NOT PAY!
