ohhhh, got an opinion don't he, sounds like me when i was a right wing little 17 year old in 1994.

Yes i know the melting thing was sarcasm, so was my lead pumping thing, do you really think i've pumped that much through it, fair enough, you could get whatever gun you wanted in the extremist world of the early 90's, but ammo was scarce, cept for shotty shells.

Rap culture, not american culture? well sh*t , seems to be the only part of american culture the youth embraces down here, aside from COKE and MCDONALDS , so what are we supposed to think, when that is all that is here now, plus i watch my pay tv music channel, and the f**king thing is just packed with rap and r&b crap, i f**king hate it. I wish it was like when i was a teen in the 90's, the only american culture kids were grabbing hold of then, was GRUNGE, no danger, no guns, (cept maybe pointed at their OWN heads), but not anymore.

And don't f**king tell me about getting beat up - 97, the year i retired as a skinhead, i was ambushed by the local hobart asian gang, on my own, (ofcourse i deserved it, before any of you start ranting and raving about the wrongs of fascism) i was stuck in the shoulder, with a butterfly knife (they aimed for my head, lucky i moved) and beaten severely. so don't lecture me.

just calm the f**k down, mate, you want a reaction, keep talking sh*t like this and making personal attacks, you'll get your reaction, you expected..

I usually stay out of heated political debates, but Punisher is spot-on.

The first step in controlling a populace is to disarm it. And the old addage is entirely true, if you make gun ownership a crime, only criminals will have guns.

I have seen on American TV, video of Australian gas stations getting robbed by guys holding pitchforks, and in one case, a snake. Getting rid of guns does not get rid of criminals. I can't really add anything more as Punisher summed up my thoughts brillantly.

And (c)rap music is not mainstream America, Rock and Roll is. (even Aussie rock. All Hail AC/DC!!!)

I am opposed to gun control for one reason only. I'd rather be shot to death than beat to death. Or dragged behind a truck. Or burnt to death. Or suffer a slow death from AIDS, even though it wouldn't be that painfull. I also prefer criminals having guns because they are terrible shots, especially ones that like rap music. Then again in my experience most people who would be inclined to be criminals lack the motivation to learn how to shoot straight anyway. But I am sure there is a relationship between rap music and people being bad shots...

Too true, Eich, too true. Problem is, when they miss, they shoot again and again. The popular thing now is high capacity magazines. The Beretta 92's the police use already hold fifteen in the standard clip and another in the tube, but these cokeheads spend fifty bucks on that super-cap. mag and they're stocked like a commando. The best and all-round safest thing to do is carry your good 'ol .45 and shoot the bastard in the head after he inevitably misses.

Rocky, who's attacking personal-like? You go and throw that whole rap thing in my face, which insults me as much as it would seem to insult you, if what you're saying is true. We're not going anywhere like this, but just because something is popular in Australia because of what a bunch of misguided kids see on tv, there's no reason to say ALL of the U.S. is a gangster's paradise. Something has definitely got to change, but the people need to keep their guns for whatever is on the horizon. Apocalypse or peace. The laws have to change, the prisons have to change, and the people have GOT to change. So America throws their weight around, that's true and I'm not proud of that, but it's because of deep-threaded corruption in the government and political hypocracy. We have given a home and jobs to everyone who wants to work. Unfortunately, more and more Americans don't want to work, and that is throwing off the whole economic balance. It's become a jungle with lots of hungry lions and lots of lame pigs. In constant supply.

Interdictor, AC/DC rocks. Always has and always will. I'm tired of flash-in-the-pan one-hit wonders. I can pop in any AC/DC album from any time frame and boil my own blood for a good hour. It's not something you forget too quick, either.

One more thing Rocky, I miss grunge too, but it's not coming back and I can accept that. I wish for the world that there were something out there that didn't idealize... and recruit for crime. Hopefully the worst is over, but the earth is bursting at the seams and the buttons are popping. Like a crowded elevator, something's gonna happen to make everybody wish in vane that they did something different.

PUNISHER you got some good points mate, sorry if i offended you personally (i have a new respect for you now, since you mentioned GRUNGE, damn i miss the early 90's).

But do you have children? I only ask cause they are the one thing that will change you opinion on guns forever, for some people (like my late father) it turns them more onto guns, they want more they need to protect they're family, they think guns are the only way.

But the other kind (like myself), children wipe out any violent tendencys or ideas you ever had, I was a nasty little c**t, for no reason , but after my first son was born i felt the wave of hate leave me, almost the second he enterned that room. three kids later i don't want firearms anywhere near my kids, atleast not for an extreme number of years. I have my GLOCK in pieces out in a safe in my shed, and my eldest (6 years old) doesn't even know of its existence, and he won't until he's atleast 18, and sh*t maybe not even then.

I get annoyed with the rap culture too. they talk alot but I'm not impressed. most of them just beat up on their girlfriends anyway.

most annoying is how these guys, in movies and real life, shoot the semi-auto 9mm sideways. how stupid.

yeah, looks cool, but you can't hit sh*t, doing it, believe me i've tried. It is a good safety precaution though, you don't get burnt by the occasional stray hot shell doing it though. Or you can just roll down ya sleeves.

punisher - if i had to own a gun because i was scared and afraid, i think id question the society i lived in, and maybe move somewhere i felt safer. im sure not all teh us is as bad as you make it out to be. ive visited some really nice parts and felt perfectly safe.

and i think that you misunderstand the basic premise of a democracy. its a majority decision.

by the people, for the people.

decisions can be changed through appropriate action.

i may not like the law, but i respect the decison and i abide by it.

i dont actually feel oppressed and i dont distrust the government becuse they banned semi-auto longarms.

Everybody should have a GE minigun and 10,000 rounds of ammo for home defense.
