Seems to me that Russell Crowe was in an American Western, "Quick and the Dead".

And "A Beautiful Mind".

And "L.A. Confidential"...

And Nicole Kidman has played Americans too.

Actually, I don't really care what nationality the actor is as long as they play the role appropriately. I'd still like to see aboriginal actors in some roles.

i'm the first to say NO AMERICANS in our AUSTRALIAN landmark film. but i do agree with MITCH. as long as they do a perfect job, they're free to be in it in my book, just as long as they play they're nationality. (check out ROBERT DOWNYS - NEWZEALAND sounding australian accent in NATURAL BORN KILLERS). or JAY LENO's dumbarse attempt everytime he gets an aussie actor on his show.

when us aussies take off your accent do we suck at it, cause i've always wondered, i mean always critical about you guys doing it with our accent, seriously i've never heard a good one, so aye yanky's let us know, do we?

yeah it is check out how i've stirred up UNCLE, i don't ever remember him getting so riled up when i used to just READ the FORUM.

it sucks when everyone wants to express their opinion and they'll only hear yours if it's the same as theirs isn't it.?

Ralf Moeller would make a perfect villian.

You may remember him from the Scorpion King and Gladiator. He also played the TV series - Conan the Barbarian. At 6'6" and 275lbs, he is much bigger than Humungus or Scwharzeneggar. He would make a plausible advisary.

Russell Crowe seemed to do a good job in his roles. I've never heard someone try to do a parody of an American accent. What sounds funny to you about how we talk?
