How close are you to Southern California? Drive that thing out to Wasteland Weekend 2012!
We'll give you free admission for two. I know, that doesn't begin to cover the cost of gas, but at least it helps.

I'm not sure if I would fit in at one of those things, my friends all tell me with my bubbly personality and boyish good looks I would stand out at one of these events!

Aside from posing for stupid pictures, I did get some work done on the truck. I was gonna buy a piece of diamond plate for the back end, but $135.00 was not in my wallet this week. Then a friend reminded me I left a piece at his shop a few years ago and it was still there. It wasn't quite long enough to do the back in one solid piece, so I will have two seams in the center. But doing it this way made it easier to build the structure for the trailer hitch I wanted to build in the back. You can see a 2" ball on the movie truck back, but I wanted a stab hitch so I can pull my little camper. So this pick shows the center part with the hitch and the right side piece tacked in place.

Left side done! The diamond plate really starts to identify the truck for what it is. Having a hard time going to work and not staying home to work on this thing. I added a 1" half round to the inside for strengh and to soften the edge for people climbing in and out of the truck.
