It's actully made in Malaysia, and it's not quite as bad in real life as on the pics, but the paint is really horrible. And the wheels too. the body shape seems fairly correct, but the detailing is poor. Worst part of it all is that their american muscle cars usually looks a whole lot better...

I guess the paint would be an easy fix for anyone who could be bothered. The wheels also could be replaced, but being that there are much better variants out there in the larger scales 1:24 and 1:18 respectively, what would be the point? I suppose you could turn one into an interceptor, but once again I see little point in bothering, other than the same level of personal fulfillment of doing a jig-saw puzzle.
They have not done this car justice at all, rather they have insulted it. What a shame, Ho Wheels should leave well enough alone in instances like this, unless they put in the time and effort required, not to mention some degree of quality control. They should have left this out of their mass produced "commercial" k-mart range. Why now anyway? They never made a version back in the day when these things were actually on the roads. after a 30 odd year wait, that.....thing, is most certainly not worth it. It's insulting to the pedigree of the cars they represent.

i second mad max statement. nuff said. still trying to find me one but so far i've only found the golden delorean and the 74 charger which i have to say at the scale and for a buck are the best models i've seen.

Well, for a buck (or around 3 bucks in Norway ) it's not bad, but compared to the 70 Satelite my daughter got at the same time it looks dreadful, allthough, as said earlier, the paint really is the worst part, so it can be easily corrected for thos who care

You'll just have to look through the piles of Hot wheels cars at any store that sells them, I found them at a supermarked, hanging on a wall in plain sight, but it was the only one there . (luckily 'no-one' else knows what it is) They have Hotwheels in all kinds of stores over here, just have to keep your eyes open

I hit my local Walmart recently and didn't find any. I can't imagine they'd be that popular in California. I bought two off eBay just to have them; total w/shipping, $10.50. Expensive? Maybe, but it saved me gas and fighting with my three-year-old, and you can't put a price on that.

This is a hotwheels XB conversion in the works. The nose and spoiler are are cast metal. Nose is not finished yet, still needs lights and smaller vents installed.
