I actually had a white LX hatchback around that I ended up sending back there to sell!
It was originally a 202/4 speed car... I bought it there and brought it over, was going to do something with it eventually. Was a super solid rust free car, with a pretty tidy interior (had mint door trims and carpet and hoodlining, just needed the seats doing) only problem was it had a sunroof...

When I made the decision to pull the engine and trans from my red car, and go with the LS1, I just swapped it into the white one, added some flares and put my big hot wires on it too...and loaded it into a container and sent it back. Was a couple years ago or so when the market on them was doing pretty good.

That has paid for what you see with my red one pretty much

(did bring another white one over when I bought and shipped the red one back in 2000...but sold that white one out here locally) and thanks !

This was soon after I brought my red one and the first white one over...was even before I had the bonnet scoop on! (A9X one) I put it on about 6 months after it got here. This would have been mid-2000 or so from memory..




And just for fun....before I bought the red and white Torrie, I had a white VH Charger (and my orange one of course, which I had for ages)




I had a '70 Challenger for a while too. I sold it and shipped it over there and bought the couple of Torries right after !

(And yes, I ran Bathurst Globes on my Challenger over here..would have been the only Challenger in the USA with them on it, I would guess )

Got my wheels on and car is on the ground and driving for the first time in a while!

Thanks ! I'm looking forward to get it more put together soon too with the front clip back on! And still need to get some mufflers for it, and waiting on my Bilsteins to come in..but getting there at least

Love the drop tank. Nothing reminds me more of my Australian childhood than SLR5000s with drop-tanks. Your ride is close enough for me. It's amazing.

Hiya Al, yep it looks a little different now since you've seen it !

And there are no kinds of inspections or engineers report here...just build it and drive it

The car would go through an engineers report there though I imagine if I ever wanted too (not that I would )
I've shown pics of the car to an engineer there I know actually and he really liked it !

Front clip is nearly all on, and I have the exhaust nearly done now as well ! I have the X pipe all welded up and inplace, and have the new Spintech mufflers in place too..just have to make some hangers for the mufflers still,and make the exhaust tips too (side exit) Here is a sound bite of it at the moment...
Oh and got the air conditioning finished and charged up...blows ice cold!!
