In order to ensure that your replica peanut butter and honey sangers are as authentic as possible I will sell you a plaster cast of Mel's teeth circa 1976 taken by his orthodontist and retrieved from a rubish bin ... LOL
Nice E-11 mockup, Madmaxing. Where did you get the short magazine? The ones used in the films are 10-round riot control mags. Very rare in the States but Bapty&Co (the movie gun wranglers who supplied the weapons for SW) seems to have no shortage of them. I saw a Japanese-made Sterling replica at a gun show last year. This was one of the good ones that were importable back in the early '80's, all metal with moveable bolt and folding stock. An E-11 build popped into my mind until I saw the price tag, $600!! The guy is on drugs.
PursuitSpecial. What year is your Charger? We can only see the roofline. How about a full-view pic?
"There are over 550 million smallarms in worldwide circulation. That's one weapon for every 12 people on the planet. The only question is: How do we arm the other 11?"
"The Teutonic reputation for brutality is well founded. Their operas last for 3 or 4 days and they have no word for 'fluffy'."

Thanks for the offer Pacific Muscle but actually it's not necessary, several years ago I had my teeth surgically altered to match those of Mr Gibson. Now I'm not saying I'm fanatical about accuracy here, but I do like my peanut butter and Honey sandwiches to be 130% correct. Finding the genuine Australian movie correct bread can be difficult though. Lucky I have a source for that too. Thanks Adrian.
Thanks to all those who enquired about buying these sandwiches. Please send your tupperware tubs to me in self addressed packaging.
I thank you
Bijker
PS That Phalanx gun looks cool March Hare. But I watched in slack jaw wonder at a GAU-8 firing bullets the size of your thumb on youtube. Here's the link to it:

I found the short magazine laying right next to the bandsaw blade after I got done cutting down a full sized one.
I paid $300 US for the "parts kit", but it could have been bought for $200 US in the same condition, I found out later. I built the gun to the way I always believed they were based on my memories of watching the movie all my life. I didn't like the notion of rubber wiper blades like Lucas used for the fins so I machined aluminium fins like in Return of the Jedi myself and put them on. That's a real WW II tank scope.
Here's what the parts looked like when they arrived...
