The movie me and mfpmax were thinking of is Wheels of Terror.
Bronze, I'm pretty sure GM didn't have an endorsement deal with KR. If they had, KITT wouldn't always be refered to as a "black t-top", and would have been called a Trans Am.

Hey, sometimes you're right, and sometimes you just have to buck up and say the "w" word. I was w..wr..wro..."cough"...on this one...no worries. I figured that it looked like the Banshee styling and the fact that it did a front wheel spin in the end...it was GM...maybe Saturn...assumptions (I know the phrase). Kinda like how us Seppo's all thought the XB was a cross between a Mustang and a Torino...before Barton...eh? Drive on...

Just read an article in one of my wife's trashy magazines ... honest ... I hardly ever read them ... that Wolf Creek star John Jarret had been offered a major part in Deathproof but was shafted by QT at the last minute. I remember iot being all the buzz when they were doing publicity for WC. A pity as Jarrett is in my opinion one of our most under rated actors and rumour has it that he was offered but turned down the role of M Rockatansky ...

If anyone has had the miss fortune to see Knightrider 2000 movie, look at the parts that are left of the old KITT. They are kinda wrong!

Anybody remember The Wraith with Charlie Sheen? That had a black car terrorizing bad guys in it. If my memory serves me correctly it was a Mopar concept car used in it. In one scene you can actually see the Pentastar logo on the rear window.

ah yes... the 'turbo interceptor'. The car was actually dark brown. A guy in Kansas has recently aquired one of the cars used in the movie. http://www.thewraithcar.com/
I went to the Chrysler museum in Detroit last year with Bronze21 and the car was there a few months earlier....we missed it though.

Wonder why the previous owner felt the need to Downgrade to a Buick motor..
400 some odd horsies was to much for him?

Because from reading the Turbododge forums, its very very VERY hard to get parts for the Cosworth Turbo Dodge engine.
As for the Wraith, that "looked" to be around the time of Dodge's first revivial and they filled that movie with nothing but Dodges.

You see the pentastar logo on the front of it also when it's doing the "doggy-eye" view shots as well. I saw the actual movie car a few years ago when it was on display in the basement racing section of the Walter P Chrysler museum right by the Chrysler HQ in Auburn Hills. It was a cool looking car. The bronze/black/gold/silver scheme works well on it. None of the compartments were open to see, but the shape is awesome and is bigger than one might think...I'd almost say it was about as long as a 69 Charger. Talking to one of our designers here at work one day, I found out that he worked on the interior design of the original PPG sponsored pace cars back in the early 80's and showed me a couple of sketches...pretty cool. They were painted in a bronze/gold scheme with PPG Pace Car across the doors when it was used as a pace car. It cost something like $1.5 million to build...typical for a concept car. Charlie also refers to it as the "Turbo Interceptor" as he's handing the keys to the kid.
It was like 18 months between visits to the museum. It's in the hands of a private collector, and the museum rotated it off display for other vehicles. I don't know if it's in storage or back at the guy's house.

If you notice those two '69 Dodge Chargers have the American Racing Vector Rims on them just like the General Lee. And also roll bars.
