BUBBAS SEAT: When were you there? The one at the base of Pikes Peak...in Colorado? I worked there for two seasons...right out of high school...It was 90 and 91. I used to run the train and the ferris wheel...alot! The last half of the second season, I went to work in Miss Muffets resturant. Kinda fun though in a weird, Christmasy way. Got tired of hearing the songs all the time..."He had no gifts to bring, vroom ba ba vroom2, me and my bum." "Jingle bells, Batman smells..." We used to race up and down Ute Pass doin' about 80 in some of the more gentle curves...I think speed limit was 35-45mph. My first ticket was on "The Pass." I got clocked doin' 108 in a posted 45 in my old Wichita KS, HP Interceptor...oh well. I know Interdictors been there...just too sheepish to answer...eh, mate?

Yup, Been there once. Once was enough. (Santa's workshop, not Pikes Peak.)

I never got busted, but personally went 100+ (waaaaaaaayyyy to fast) in a 66 Volkswagen beetle coming down out of the Eisenhower tunnel into Denver. Fun at the time, Incredibly stupid in retrospect.

I'm an Employment & Training Manager. I sit in this cubby hole which is 'spose to be my office, from nine to five. Do lots of field work, which I enjoy since I get to take my truck mudding. Before I worked in this field, I used to be a hairdresser and really loved that job. But, due to allergies, had to leave that profession. Now, I'm finalizing a novel series, just completing the seventh novel, and I'm hoping to be a published writer some day.

One of the jobs I had before starting uni was 7AM till 3PM, packing front brake disks for Minis into boxes. Before I boxed 'em up, I had to spray a turps based anti corrosion liquid on them. That meant wearing a face mask all day. After that, the factory moved me on to packing power steering pumps for London Taxis. After 2 weeks, they fired my ass. Partly for using offensive language at the boss and partly for being the most inefficient employee.

I hated that job, Never again.

Now that I've left uni, I'm officially unemployed. In some parts of the UK, the dole queue is the only growth industry.Image

Thanks Anklecranker. It's nice to be back. Things got hectic at work since I got stuck building the company web site. Then I got caught up building this web site for my girl friends.

Quote: I'm a Sales Manager for a Food Service company. I have 20 women on staff and they drive me nuts at times. Its like 20 wives bitching but no extra benefits , if you know what I mean, lol.

LMFAO. The company I work for is all women with our one token male. I feel sorry for him. Since I manage this one district, I'm based out of a satellite office separate from the head office. And wouldn't you know it, the poor fella in this office is also surrounded by women. So we refer to him as our office husband and he says he has five wives. Poooor man Image

Foxtrot that should be easy. Ask your boss how many domestic cars were built with only right hand drive.

Sorry, Interdictor, but we really don't carry anything that old anymore.

No Money in it.

Unless we get a lot of lookups for speciffic older car parts, we stick with stuf '95 & later.

(We do put our hands on every Air-cooled Veedub we can, but those are getting rarer than... well, ANYTHING) Image
