Nothing but negativity in the AICN talkbacks.

Negativity from the article headline though. Steve from Collider and the "reader" are still the only negative reports I've seen and being quoted everywhere.

For the record the people I spoke to who liked the movie even said the cut was rough and needed work but understood that's why it's a rough cut and test screening.

I was able to talk to Randy a little bit. Obviously he couldn't give too many details but I had to ask about it being set between the first two movies. He states clearly it is and then ventures into "to the side into it's own thing" but it looks like we got duped by those photos of the FR BoB Interceptor 2 years ago.

Randy also made the comparison that if The Road Warrior is The Terminator in terms of action and quality then Fury Road is Terminator 2.

Apparently they altered that BoB from when we saw it to include 2 fuel tanks and not just have 1 like we saw it photographed at the pancake event.

That is a VERY bold statement.

His words:
The best comparison is TERMINATOR to T2. There's a lot of the same sensibilities and story, but it's just fucking AMPED up!
Just leaving it out there so nobody says I said it or made the comparison.

Speaking to a bunch of others about this deal with the BoB and set in-between films...seems like Randy took it the wrong way and George Miller was at the screening and addressed the timeline question directly.

Again. George Miller specifically said FURY ROAD does NOT take place within the timeline of the previous films.
