very interesting. hand we have an interceptor that seems to be between two worlds. that of rw and fr. I find it interesting to see that the cracked head light from fury road is there and yet the two tanks from road warrior are there too. maybe this was based more on earlier concepts of the car (much like the moto termiantors on terminator salvation the game were not based on the films excellent models and instead based around early concepts) we seem to lack the netting from fury road interceptor as well. you know the stuff tied to the car interrior roof. this is what also says to me that this is more early concept work then anything. the mustang throws me. it seems that we steal or make a partnership to drive the stang while trying to go after our lost interceptor.
I look forward to the wasteland,to the npc designs and to the cars, trucks and whatever might be out there in the game. the fact that this is announced at least means this game wasn't quietly canceled. this all makes me a pretty happy mad max gamer. now about the DLC. please. if there is a god, they will make retro DLC such as the awesome landau or the incredible ,valiant vh dart car or dare I dream it...the red snake tow truck. because if this is possibly the best open world mad max game we could hope for then the only way to top this sunday is with DLC straight out of the movies we know and love. unless the dlc is more episodes either way I see this as being a big win for us mad max gamers.
and as stated when the pc game hits I'll be pouring over the archives and seeing about what cars and character models could be pulled from the game for use in games like grand theft auto. I think this might get people considering mad max as a viable gaming property again. if nothing else this will help out my mod greatly. one way or another.
Mad Max 4 - The Game (September 1st 2015 PS4, XB1, PC)
Re: Mad Max 4 - The Game
Yeah I saw some thought it was Fallout and I was watching the Sony conference live, the moment I saw the Interceptor stop and you see Max's boots...I knew what it was and actually jumped out my chair as it was a nice, awesome, surprise.biolumen wrote:Stef-Man wrote: Just looking around, lots of gamers were very disappointed that this wasn't an announcement for Fallout 4. Seems to be a lot of excitement though. The official Facebook page launched last night and has over 1200 likes so far with a lot, if not all, positive comments on the page.

Re: Mad Max 4 - The Game
As a gamer, we have to wait and see on this.
Movie tie in games are almost entirely bad to mediocre. Usually, this is because they have been rushed to meet movie release dates, the production company isn't passionate about the game and is taking a pay cheque or they are simply badly thought out.
The trailer looks nice but it has little relevance to the game. It's an animated video, nothing more.
Obviously, it's nice that they're going to try though lol so here's hoping.
**We should expect the game to come out inline with the film btw**

I played Fallout 2. Its a great game but there are no driving vehicles just walking and running around the wastelands. When I was playing, I kept thinking, I sure MM could be made into a sandbox game.Just looking around, lots of gamers were very disappointed that this wasn't an announcement for Fallout 4. Most gamers are too young and missed MM so probably will be disappointed its not Fallout 4.

The teaser animation looks off and that isn't something max would do, not to a good start...

Yeah I was thinking the same thing myself. That made him look like a psychopath.FordMercury wrote:That isn't something max would do

It's hard to judge from a teaser but maybe it's a bit like in the first film in the way that Max might have had a reason to dispose of the guy on the floor. As for the game itself it's being handled by an excellent studio with a really great pedigree of open world games so I'm gonna trust them for now as I can't really think of a better bunch to be handling this kind of franchise.
Also there was an interview on GameSpot earlier today and some extra details were given as to why the Interceptor might not look the same as well as the basic premise for the plot...
I 'think' this is the link for that interview (think it's a guy from Warner Bros.) http://uk.gamespot.com/e3/mad-max-e3-20 ... o-6409859/

Re: Mad Max 4 - The Game
So...
A completely stand-alone title, no relation to previous movies and Fury Road too.
Over 50 authentic Mad Max vehicles (!!!) with emphasis on creating 'own' vehicles.
No multiplayer.
Awesome:)

Here's a direct link to that video.

The guy speaking was introduced as 'Frank' from Warner Bros, though the title on the screen said game director Ashraf Ismail. Since Ismail is currently working on Assassins Creed for Ubisoft, I don't believe that was him talking.

Wasn't Max going to dispatch the Gyro Captain with a knife across the neck before he was convinced to spare him ("Kill me and you'll never find out"). What about what Max did to Johnny? I really don't see a problem here. At least he's obliging the guy, though perhaps not in the manner the guy was hoping for.FordMercury wrote:The teaser animation looks off and that isn't something max would do, not to a good start...
Re: Mad Max 4 - The Game
Yeah! Stand alone story is to be expected but its still going to be drawing heavily from FR's universe given what we've seen so far in the CG video. Of course I sa FR's universe because we're still unclear how that falls in, if at all, with the previous films.Taipan wrote:So...

Multiplayer I'm surprised about. Seems like the Mad Max property would of offered an ideal multiplayer experience given the focus of the game is car warfare, though thats not to say it's still off the cards. It's not like the game is going to be a quick cash in on the new movie too since Avalanche Studios has been working on this game for nearly 4 years now.
Wondering if there's anything on the E3 show floor for the game?
