Thanks !
Here was a pic from the other day (just a quick cell phone pic) to get an idea of it with the wheels on front and rear.
Going to borrow a caster/camber gauge tomorrow (one of the few tools I don't have actually) and get the front end setup. Did more underdash wiring today as well. It's close to running now

Thanks! I have made some decent progress since you were here
And yep, I will get some video of it when I fire it up to post up...looking forward to that.
Oh, and my buddy in Lilydale picked up another Torrie which think I will end up with..a really clean LX sedan..already has front and rear spoilers, and guy had some flares for it even that he tossed in with the deal (not fitted)...just a 202/auto now, but mint inside with console, and even working a/c ! Make for a real nice SLR5000 mockup thing...

Well, after being real busy with work loading up containers and such, I got back onto the car. I decided the front brakes were abit too small at 330mm

so I'm building my own setup using 4 piston Brembo calipers and 360mm x 36mm Mercedes AMG rotors. I might even go with the 8 piston AMG calipers if I can swing a deal on some eventually.
And as of yesterday it officially runs. Only ran it for a short moment, still have to program the fuel pump controller (Aeromotive), the cooling fan controller (Spal) and tach adapter (Dakota Digital). But so far it's looking good! Oh, and will bolt the X pipe onto the headers for the rest of the tuning, bit loud now.
Not bad for building the wiring harness, fuel system, stainless headers, etc,etc all from scratch.
Here is the quick video, with more to come later..

Here are the brakes too...have to build some caliper brackets is all..no big deal.

(This is an 18" wheel I'm using)

This is 'Stage 1' so to speak...after I have the car all running and driving and sort any bugs out that may (will

) come up, the updates to the engine will happen... Stage II will be aftermarket heads and a more agressive cam. 500 hp should be pretty do-able I am figuring. Oh,and a 90mm throttle body to replace the stock one. Edelbrock has one that goes with the intake I'm using, so no problem there.
With the fuel system I have built, it should support around 800 - 1000 hp without a flinch so fine there. The 1 3/4" headers and 2 1/2" exhaust will probably be the limiting factor if going over 500 - 550 hp I think. It would have been easy to go larger on the exhaut pipe sizing, but I was abit worried about the noise level with such a short overall system. Larger tube headers would be another thing if chasing alot higher horsepower level, but after building these from scratch, I can't imagine squeezing an 1 7/8" tube in there

Would have to have them built if it ever came to it. But I think the car with 500hp will be plenty for just cruising around and maybe trying an open track/road racing deal eventually. Heck, even with the 320 - 330hp or what ever it makes now should be pretty fun with the light weight little Torrie!

Driveshaft is in and done, Wheels are all polished and getting tires mounted on Monday... just waiting on some Bilstein shocks that are currently on back order...brakes and clutch are all bled and done, good pedal feeling for both. Just about there now ! Got to finish the exhaust next..think I will order up some Spintech mufflers for it..

Far out! That driveway has seen some amazing muscle over the years. Those photos blow my mind.
I live in Australia and I'm envious of all the hot Aussie cars you've owned! Could you and your friends try to leave a few decent Torrie's over here for us to enjoy?
