Ray Park ALSO had a supporting role in Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever Which IMO goes in the GOOD movie category.
As do Some of the Godzilla films (Such as Godzilla, Mothra, King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All Out Attack released in 2002)
In the BAD Category... Hmm. Can't think of any at the moment.
I try to forget the ones I didn't like..
Phantom Menace was really dissapointing, but Attack of the Cones, despite the insipid title, was several steps back in the right direction. (Many, many steps left to go however)
"Go ahead and run. Run home and cry to mama! Me, I'm Through runnin'!"
Man you guys are way tooo picky. Seriously, besides ask anyone in the states who knows anything the worst movie of all time (and it happens to be sci-fi) is Plan 9 from Outer Space. This movie starring Bela Lugosi until he dead mid fliming adn they just replaced his character with another actor halfway but still kept the shots with old bela in there. Tres confusing. ANyoen this IS agrred upon my millions the worst movie of all time at least Sci-Fi. Its available in all rental locations becuase people rent it all the tiem just to see "the worst of the worst" thbut the ones you guys al listed are ya know pretty big budget films I actually really enjoyed Armegeddon actually (saying this, I am willingly discrediting my opinions but whatever)But yeh Plan 9 From Outer Space go watch it
But 'Plan 9' is soooo bad it's goood! Maybe we should differentiate between'so bad it's good' and 'just plain bad'.
Now, if you want really weird, go find 'Plan 10 From Outer-Space'. Not much connection with 'Plan 9', but it was odd enough to be entertaining. No guarantees you will think so. Mormons, aliens, the burgeoning sexuality of a young woman in Salt Lake City, and Karen Valentine.
Or 'A Polish Vampire in Burbank'. With Eddie Dreezen as 'Sphincter' and the 'Queer-wolf' (he was bitten by a homosexual and when there is a full moon, he turns into one. When it's a half moon, he is just 'bi'.).
the first ROLLERBALL wasn't really that cool either though, but i guess if i'd seen it back when it was made and not in the 90's it probably woulda ruled.
Yeah, some things are definitely 'of their time'. I always did like 'Rollerball'. It's not really an 'action' flick. There were so many layers to the story and many of them were just barely hinted at. Probably needed another hour to get the complete feel of Jonathan E's dilemma.
But then again, the remake sucked royal a$$. Can I say that here? The action was poorly shot (jerky camera and cuts were way too fast), it was hard to follow what was going on. You get a sense of commotion, not speed, and no feeling of anticipation or anxiety. The original was much better in that regard. "Gone In 60 Seconds" had exactly the same problem. Compare that one to MM or RW for tension in chase scenes. Fast editing doesn't work well for getting the audience to feel as though they are involved with the screen action. Although, I must say that I did like the 'nightvision' chase scenes (hmm, now that I think about it, those were long cuts with actual action) in the Rollerball remake. I'm sure there is a "Greatest Police Chases' action movie in there somewhere.
