No, Don't have those, But I have the Fangoria (don't know which issue without looking at it) with the Road Warrior article in it. Found it in a comic book store for $1.00!

I also have all 6 of the B&W Aliens graphic novels, the 4 color ones, Aliens Vs. Predator, (All 1st editions) and some other assorted Aliens comics. (the only other comic I have collected are the "The Thing From Another World" graphic novels that pick up wher John Carpenter's The Thing leaves off.)

BACK TO THE POST TOPIC: I forgot to mention Predator. Another great sci-fi flick. Gotta love that mini-gun scene!

Speaking of Kevin Costner post-apocalyptic movies, did anyone like The Postman? It had horrible reviews (as did Waterworld) but I absolutely loved that movie. And I guess you can include that as sci-fi.

If you liked the Postman, read the book. It adds so much and there are some major themes left out of the movie.

I was involved in the Aliens/Alien3 continuity debate once before.

The solution we came up with was simple.

We can assume the Drones can metamorphosise into a Queen in the absence of another Queen, yes?

She wasn't the only Alien that stowed away on the drop ship.

A drone, possibly two was also aboard. It went into hiding, while the Queen battled Ripley on the landing Deck.

After Ripley, Newt, Hicks & Bishop were put tucked into their Hypersleep chambers, the Drone found itse'f a nice place to become a queen, and waited.

Once it had metamorphosised into the the new Queen, it laid it's eggs, the face Huggers did their job and the Humans were hosts.

Just a theory, but it does touch on all the problems WE found...

you made a good point, but there were no DRONES in ALIENS, they were all WARRIORS, i mean part of that was due to WINSTON, just wanting to be different to GIGER's alien, but doesn't mean there wern't any creeping around we didn't know about. i mean the drone in the first ALIEN was looking for a place to nest, during the whole movie, cause look what it did to DALLAS in the DELETED SCENE.

Yeah that FANGO is number 19, one of the first fangoria's i ever got.

POSTMAN is a cool movie i was pleasantly surprised by it, i don't know why COSTNER is bagged so much , i personally like most of his movies, i think he's a bloody good actor, i mean there was a time when he could do no wrong with the f**kin media and critics (the early 90's with JFK, and DANCES WITH WOLVES) now ever since WATERWORLD it seems fashionable to hate his movies- check him out in 3000 MILES TO GRACELAND, one of the baddest badguys you'll ever see.

INTERDICTOR, amongst the hundreds of various comics and graphic novels i've got, my most prized are PREDATOR BIG GAME-numbers 1to4 (i'm a giant predator fan, but i refer to it as horror not scifi, which is why you won't find it on my list of scifi's) PREDATOR HOMEWORLD 1to4. ALIENS VS PREDATOR-WAR. the ALIEN 3 comic adaption. ALIEN- SACRIFICES graphic novel. ALIENS - EARTH ANGEL.., ALIENS- PURGE.

and though it's got nothing to do with aliens the LETHERFACE 1to4 comics f**kin prized possessions, took me ages to track them down, found them on EBAY.

No, this is a new, honest to god remake. Why bother? Tobe Hooper's was a classic. Just like Mad Max, You shouldn't screw with what was never broken.

Drones are born first, To secure a nest site and to facillitate the Queen's initial care until a warrior caste can be born. By the time The U.S.C.M.C. arrived, there were very few Drones. We only saw Warriors as the Drones are specifically nursemaidens. The supposition that there were additional stowaways is interesting however. Any lone alien is capable of becoming a Queen, not just a drone, so this idea is feasable. If this were the case, they should have fleshed the process out though. I take exception to the fact that Alien3 just has them appear and expects us to not to question it.

Of intrest is the fact that there were very few aliens of any kind remaining in the nest at all. There could only have been 156 aliens total (not including the Queen) as there were only 157 colonists to serve as hosts (not including all those that were killed during the colonists battle, and those killed by the medical team (" Subject Merricheck, John J. died during the procedure" ) So, probably substantially less than 156. After the sentry guns "they're wall to wall in there" and the Marine's battles, the only aliens left may have been those few that attacked Ripley in the Queen's chamber. This is why she was able to escape with only the Queen in pursuit. The likelyhood of additional stowaways is farfetched, but not impossible.
