I have an old Red Wham-o (yeah the same guys who make frizbees) Boomarang. It is plastic but actually sort of sharp on the edges, and lethal to try and catch.

I have had it since I was a kid around the same age as Emil was in MM2, but stopped playing with it when my brother hit a little girl when throwing it in the park. She was O.K. (parents probably would have sued in todays world though), but a little girl our own age really in pain was enough to soften my hart and put it away in the "Costume Box" instead of with the Frizbees, Balls, and stuff (guess I understood about Pho weapons even then). Still got it, maybe I should take it somewhere safe, along with my Wham-O crossbow and try again.

Do you practice with Boomarangs still Emil?

INTERCEPTOR GRAVE

Post by LAST V8 »

Hi guy's, just clarified the rollover location for the Interceptor. It was rolled on the Menindee rd past Red Hill down on the flats. From there they dragged it back up the road and tipped it down Red Hill.It was rolled at least twice for effect and obviously had a tonne of Fullers Earth(red dirt) loaded inside her.I will try and gets some dates together of the shoot schedule.Regards Scott.

O.K. that makes sense now,
Thanking you for the clarification. I was looking at Bronzes map and was totally baffled. As always, if you want to know something on this forum you should ask the people who know.

MFP1...I dont have any other boomerangs apart from the one from the movie...the last time I threww it was when we did a back2themax interview for the Toady show on channel 9 in melbourne with Nick Mccallum...before the B2tm reunion in Broken Hill...we were in a big park and there was a big wind againts us and I threw it as hard as I could into the wind and it did a big circle and was coming around back towards us and we had to hit the deck as we thought it might collect one of us or one of the kids that was standing with us...It went into the trees and hit them with a big thud...Hate to get hit by it...
The time before that I was living with a couple of mates before I got married and we had all had a few cans and went outside as we lived on reserve where they play footy, cricket etc and I opened my sliding doors, took one step outside(there was no fence diving the park) it was dark and I threw it across the width of the park and all I saw was the lights of a passing car on the otherside of the oval and just behind the car as it was driving the boomerang hit the road like only a metere or so behind the car and as it hit the road we saw a spark and an almighty chang chang chang.

Pretty stupid ha

that time we threw the boomerang is what I was talking about we had to protect the kids we had at the time which were your brother tim`s kids so they did not get hit by the boomerang, and i took the mitsubishi magna hire car in a paddock for some reverse donuts doing some circle work...When we went to the airfield when george novak put the Landau on two wheels i had a BA falcon hire car with only 2000kms on it and I spent 15 mins doing donuts and drifting on the dirt runway and then I had it on the tarmack racing and doing burnouts. i remember starting at one end of the strip and getting to like 180kms an hour and when i reached the end i hit the anchors and the abs almost shit itself and I recked the tires... and then before I left the the guys that run the airfield said could you Crhristen our Helipad and do a donut...I remember i left a perfect circle for them. .On the way back to the airport the car spent most of its time sideways LOL..

Times i will never forget my friend....

look forward to catching up with you soon...

Gee, remind me NEVER to hand over the keys for my coupe  . 295 BF Goodrich's cost a pretty penny! I must admit that I've had a brand new hire car take on railtracks at 80kmp/h! I'll tell ya there were a few scrapes and bumps that day! As long as you give them a wash when returning everything is fine and dandy.

[BUMP]
I had to, this is one of (if not the) coolest single threads since I have been on the forum. Meeting (virtually) Emil, All of the awesome pix, Stories, and more.

I have been thinking about the "Chief of the Great Northern Tribe", so I looked up the thread, and just had to bump it (the firt time I have bumped a subject since I joined), cant let the new folks miss this gem eh?

Hey all...I know it`s been a while but I have had some family things to get through and have not had any time to get on the forum, unfortunately and it`s not that I don`t care but the last thing on my mind was getting on a computer. I now am in the most busy time at work being xmas and am consantly exumed by customers requets, I had a spare minute this morning to get on and say G`day. I have only got two weeks to xmas and I am then on my annual five week holiday, so I will then have a chance to get back on the forum and post some more pictures.
I hope all of you are well and I have noticed there are some new forum members on here and I welcome you all very much, you have found a new home and some new friends including me. I lookforward to any of your questions from you newbies in janurary when I have some breathing space.

I wish everyone a great xmas and a happy new year.

Catch Ya all soon.
