hi everyone, thought i'd post a couple good sites for old kawa parts http://www.zpower.com.au/ , http://www.kzzone.com , and this site is a guy with some good how to's on engine building with old kz's. [these are'nt replica sites but good info if your going to build one] .........and you guys building one post some pics......most isp's offer you around 5 megs of free space for your own web site;this is enough for some pics ,and you can just put your link here... thanks.

oh yea and about the handling, i saw someone who fixed up a kz and he put some newer thicker forks off a newer kawa and put a new spring and gold valve kit like http://www.racetech.com and he put on a swingarm and single shock off a yamaha fzr1000 with just a little modifing.but even if you used the stock swingarm, getting better shocks and forks are going to help the most in handling,besides bracing,tires,etc.

For me, it was important to stay close to the original version from 77! No alu swing arm or a larger folk, just some modifications from the same area. You will noticed some different shock absorbers from italy. A little better ...


I found a fairing, very similar to what Johnny and some other guys from the Toecutter gang had on their bikes. Finally , it's close to a Ducati 900 SS fairing. ( SS, wants to say Super Sports)

i'm glad it will stay close to original,and please email me some pics when you can......thanks..............i'm plannin on buying a 77' 1000 this summer and start to replica it.....if i can find one in "ok" shape.i want to stay close to original,except internal engine mods mostly,and carbs.
