Good film, way better than the boring remake. My fave ROAD-MOVIES (yeah yeah not scifi sorry) would be: MM1, The Hitcher, Two Lane Blacktop, Vanishing Point (original), not in any special order. MM2 is somewhere in there, From Dusk till Dawn is a kind of a road movie too??....

INTERDICTOR, nice to find another ALIEN fanatic, as well as the max's, they are also my passion, but i usually put them under the HORROR banner, not the SCIFI.
now i gotta read all your sh*t again to have a comeback, but right now i'm busy and gotta go, but one thing. the QUEEN had plenty of time to lay the eggs, you don't see her for a good couple of minutes, (in the movie time who knows how long that was, cause it would have taken a while to fix up HICKS and keep him medicated, we don't see the queen during all that, that's when she was busy laying her eggs.

OK, so let's see....
We have "Waterworld" ....a known Road Warrior rip-off that as soon as someone said 'water', began expanding like those spongey things you put in water...
"Alien 3"... If you like that movie (as I do. Who wants to see the same movie more than once in a series?) then you should watch "The Navigator" (Not 'Flight of the Navigator'!). Same writer (sort of) with eerily similiar themes of religion, attrition, and viral infection. Even the feel and mood of the movie are similiar.
"No Escape"... Costumes by Norma Moriceau (costumer on Road Warrior), can you tell?
Some of my favorite sci-fi movies,
don't let the title scare you, "Morons From Outer Space". A very British satire that picks on the science fiction movie cliches. LOTS of little things to look for....
"Hardware"
"Metropolis"
"Quiet Earth"
"Fifth Element"
"AKIRA"
"2001"
"Le Dernier Combat"...Luc Beson
and anything with Troy McClure. I mean, Doug McClure.
Oh, and "THX 1138" and "Planet of Vampires" (inspired "Ghosts of Mars"?).

Not to overstay my welcome with all the Aliens jargon, but..
As I said, The Queen ripped herself free of her ovipositor. It was physically impossible for her to have laid any eggs. Also, The bandaging and medicating of Cpl. Hicks was done on the dropship during the return flight to the Sulaco. Ripley states to Bishop that Hicks is unconcious, and will need a stretcher moments before the Queen appears from the landing gear bay (where she had stowed during the return flight) . Hicks had already been attended to. The queen had not yet set foot on the Sulaco.
Trivia for you: 1: Know what I.C.C. stands for? 2: What is the name of the company? (Easy) 3 What is the name of the colony? (also easy) Total population?
Got any for me?

WEYLAND YUTANI, easy peasy.
HADLEYS HOPE, but don't remember the population either
(though i coulda cheated a put on ALIENS to see).
alright then 1. what was HR GIGER gonna put inside the ALIEN head to make it look like their was movement inside it?
2. which two members of THE BETTYS crew had a past before THE BETTY?
3what religeon had the prisoners of FURY 161. created for them selves?
4. (easy) who was the only one qualified to remote pilot the DROPSHIP. and what was painted on the side of FERRO's DROPSHIP?

1 : I.C.C. : Interstellar Commerce Commision
2 : Yup
3 : Hadley's Hope is correct. Ripley: "Just like I'm going to tell them you're responsible for the deaths of 157 colonists" Including Newt, 158 Colonists.
1: Gieger wanted to put maggotts in the head (ewww!)
3 & 4 are not my faves, so my useless knowledge is very limited. If I recall though, It was the captain character and the chick on the Betty, and the prisoners created a celabit (sp) monk like existance for themselves. ( I don't recall that they had a specific name for their belief system though)

in DR CLEMENS' words the prisoners religeon was "some sort of apocalyptic, millenarian, christien fundamentalist."
