Interesting to hear that. A friend of mine recently ordered a front spoiler for an Opel Manta. We'll have to see what comes in...

Mitch,

I hope when you say "'restore' to the former glory" you mean back to ultra-scary battle prepped condition, and not "original" condition. I get a lot of flack from the guys in my Monte Carlo group. They don't appreciate my Mad Max inspired modifications.

The Caprice is still a fragment of my twisted imagination at this point. If I can ever get a freakin' job I plan to sell my 91 Chevy Cavalier and get an 87-89 Caprice. I want one with a 350 and HOPEFULLY the whole 9C1 police package. If it is not a 9C1 I hope to find one where the original 305 or V-6 was replaced with a 350. In my imagination it will look something like this:

My 1975 Chevy Monte Carlo has a 350, police push bumpers, caltrop dropper, brake light deactivation switch, and a few other tricks in the works. It may look like a boat to people who are used to smaller cars, but the 73-77 Monte Carlos handled so well that NASCAR used them up until 1981. Here is what mine looks like now:

Nah, we're down in St. Louis. Along the Mississippi halfway (sort of) between Chicago and New Orleans.

I know it depends on peoples mood and whom you are dealing with, as far as some stuff goes, but most especially with junkyards.

Hmmmm.

I was planning to order a front Spoiler for my Javelin from Showcars-Bodyparts when I got that far..

I'll make a note to be very careful if I order from them and I'll also have to keep an eye open for alternatives.

5.7 Interceptor,

I am not a fan of the flat top rear wheel wells from 91 and 92, but if I can find one that is very solid mechanically for the right price I am interested. For a battle vehicle I can always take the Sawzall to the rear wheel wells and make 'em round. Image

Price is a big factor for me, as I got laid off and am now unemployed. Transportation from Canada to Chicago would probably be an issue too. What are the specs on your 91?
